Acerca de esta escucha

A rising star in Scandinavia and winner of the Swedish Crime Academy Award, Kjell Eriksson pens mysteries that chill and electrify a steadily growing legion of fans across Europe and beyond.

A daunting murder investigation finds Ann Lindell and her colorful team tracing clues back to a local restaurant and its owner, a man concealing a dark past. But he's not the only person at the restaurant worthy of suspicion.

I just never really got into this book. I think a lot of the problems comes from the choppy phrasing, which I assume arises from poor translation and not the original narrative. Also, I feel this would have much more gripping if Eriksson had stayed to a strict "police procedural" format instead of veering off into psychoanalysis.

The narrator does a good job with the varying characters.

Promising start, but suffered in translation
