Great story decent narration

I’ve been listening to all the books in this series and enjoyed them, but this one seemed a bit better than the last one. There were several different storylines but never got confusing. I like the relationships in this story as well. The narrator does a good job.

Although I was not drawn into the story as quickly as I expected, midway, I was hooked by all of the twists and turns and truly did not want to turn off audiobooks when I got to a destination. Mr. Black’s character development is my favorite part of his books and this one did not disappoint.

I like the book a lot. But have to say you put a lot of effort into getting the pronunciations right for western Washington. But please do the same for the whole state. Wenatchee is pronounced “Wun-na-che” and Spokane is “Spo-CAN”

The reader mispronounced many local names... like Wenatchee and Agate Pass.... Also difficult to tell when setting changed...

The first book was entertaining. They were all just ok. Very good reader but whoever involved Michael Connelly to sell this guy was nuts. His stuff won't offend anyone. It's just like eating Kraft Mac and Cheese every day.

The downward slide.

I'm reading series in order. This is a step back in right direction - an actual mystery (compared to previous one). Interesting main story line again. A couple of secondary story lines; one is wearing thin. Introduction of a new major character - my jury was still out on her till very end, but she's ok.
VERY Annoying issue: Narrator's voice is good, BUT I'm getting frustrated with lack of audio editing. It's getting worse.
Some examples:
1. Spokane is pronounced Spo-CAN, not Spo-CANE. Narrator should know that.
2. "Nurse" misread as "muse".
3. "Palpable" misread as "palatable".
4. Guy gets in car and reads using "overheated light". (It's overhead light).
5. Wenatchee mispronounced as "Winatachee".
