As the anniversary of the murders approaches, Faith Winters is released from the psychiatric hospital and yanked back to the last spot on earth she wants to be - her hometown where the slayings took place. Wracked by the lingering echoes of survivor's guilt, Faith spirals into a black hole of alcoholism and wanton self-destruction. Finding no solace at the bottom of a bottle, Faith decides to track down her sister's killer - only to discover that she's the one being hunted.

How can one woman uncover the truth when everyone's a suspect - including herself?

From the mind of Wall Street Journal best-selling author Christopher Greyson The Girl Who Lived should come with a warning label: Once you start listening, you won't be able to stop. Not since Girl on the Train and Gone Girl has a psychological thriller kept listeners so addicted - and guessing right until the last chapter.

The book was AMAZING! But the ending was SUPER weird and I didn’t like it. It felt like a cop out. And everything after they reveal who did it was strange- including the scene when they reveal. Well, most of it. You’ll see. The narrator did an amazing job, her voices were excellent. Would recommend this book.

Awesome narration!

The character is weak. The more I listen to the Audiobook, the more I couldn’t stomach Faith. Story probably would be interesting with stronger female. Try listening again but just couldn’t.

Could not finish book

No spoilers. I enjoyed this book. It wasn’t too slow, even at the beginning it got me hooked. I listened every chance I got. The narration was smooth and helped me connect with the main character. I’d read other titles by this author.

Really enjoyed it

I am sorry to have to do this but I was so annoyed by the narrator's speech that it almost caused me to close the book before I had finished reading it. She uses that weird pronunciation wherein she says: brad for bread, bad for bed, had for head, gast for guest, protast for protest, sad for said, cop for cup. These are not all of the offences she made but I think you can understand. This talk continued throughout the book. I will not purchase another book narrated by Amy McFadden

Reader has annoying pronunciation habits

Faith was emotionally and mentally damaged when 2 members of her family and her best friend and best friend's mother were killed and she got away. Her anger and rage landed her in psychiatric facilities for years. Faith has a shot of getting a new life, outside the institutions if only she can keep her life together. With all her flaws, you want her to succeed. But will her trust issues and the people who don't want her to succeed it's not clear whether she is going to make it. A few premises are a bit hard to swallow, but mostly a good read. #whodunit #pageturner
