Attorney Thaddeus Murfee is skyjacked to Moscow. Next to him on the plane is Angelina Sosa, a brash 20-something with a degree in journalism from the esteemed University of Chicago.

Angelina decides to write a New York Times best seller based on the skyjacking. She isn’t sure if it will be fiction or non-fiction, but she has her topic once the plane is diverted.

Thaddeus Murfee has just received front-page notoriety in the Tribune for his extraordinary courtroom defense of a World War II death camp survivor. Lately, Thaddeus' name is being mentioned at all the important lawyer gatherings as the lawyer to keep an eye on in the US In fact, there is even talk about him running for public office, maybe even US Senator.

Angelina tells Thaddeus she will base new best seller on the skyjacking. Surely a Pulitzer Prize isn’t even out of reach. Thaddeus declines all interviews with Angelina and the struggle begins.

What follows is an incredible legal thriller in Moscow, where Thaddeus and Angelina are the unwilling guests of the Russian President.

Thaddeus Murfee is at the top of his game in this book. The Girl Who Wrote the New York Times Bestseller will delight all Thaddeus Murfee fans who just can’t get enough of this young lawyer.

Some say it was too violent but that was ok and didn’t affect my opinion of this book. The narrator was perfect as usual……on to the next book.

Very different from the other series books

This starts with a CIA agent going to serve her country but she ends up in Russia. She is recognized as a CiA agent and imprisoned. Lots of twists and turns through the book. Fun slap at the Russian president.

Very interesting story

I had to stop at the 4 hour mark. Gruesome violence and torture descriptions with no empathy or really plot justification for the amount of gore and sadism described. I have listened to all of the previous books...this one is nothing like those. Characters are one dimensional and stereotypes...but lots of detail on lengthy torture scenes and shattered dead bodies. A real disappointment. Skip this one. Thaddeus and friends act like robots with no emotions and make ridiculous far fetched plot decisions. You will like the whole series less after listening to this. It's that disturbing. That ugly. And that poorly plotted

Very violent callous scenes unlike his others
