Quarry is forced out of retirement one late night to save a kidnapped girl. The adventure that follows is full of twists and turns. It is really interesting to see an older Quarry and what may be his final contract. Stefan is really great. I have really come to love him as the voice of Quarry in these audio books. This novel was also adapted into a movie called “The Last Lullaby.”

This was my first Quarry novel. Even though I am in my 70's it took me a little while to get use to the more rough hewed language here. Nonetheless Quarry has a surprisingly decent set of values and it was overall a good listen. I will listen to others in the series.

Good introduction to the Hitman

This is the first book in the Quarryh series that I have listened to. I listened to the entire Nathan Heller series by this author then decided to give this series a try, especially since it was in the Plus catalog and really a short story coming in at less than 4 hours.

It was pretty good. Action packed from the start. The book, this one #7 in the series, gaves you enough background to get a feel for what Quarry is all about. He saves a kidnap victim then gets hired by the victim's father to kill someone for him, a female. The action never stops in this book.

I have been binging for weeks listening to all the quarry books and I absolutely love them, except for this one. It’s nothing like the rest of them, it’s a sappy love story, just don’t waste your time you’re not gonna miss anything.
