What if humanity’s survival depended not on people, but on machines?

Earth is a decaying wasteland, consumed by the unstoppable Mortis Plague, an ancient force transforming all life into undead legions. Humanity’s armies are broken, its will shattered. The last hope lies in interplanetary ark ships and mechanical golems defending them.

Most arks have fled to Luna or Mars, but one remains trapped on Earth, its launch threatened as the Plague closes in. A unit of fearless veteran golems is all that stands between the ark and annihilation. Their mission: delay the enemy long enough to ensure liftoff.

As the countdown ticks down and defenses crumble, the ark’s survival depends on the captain’s strategic genius—and possibly an unexpected ally. Will they escape the Plague's grip, or will this ark join Earth’s ruins?

I wasn’t sure what to expect going in, but this book completely pulled me in. The worldbuilding is rich without being overwhelming, and the golems are such a unique twist on classic fantasy elements. The pacing kept me hooked, and the ending really stuck with me. Definitely recommend for anyone looking for something a little different in the fantasy genre.

Great work... machines fighting to save humanity as Earth decays under an unstoppable plague. The golems are intense, and the stakes feel real. But the pacing felt rushed, and some characters lacked depth. Still, a solid start to a promising series. Read it while recovering in the hospital.

Joseph Graff delivers a gripping, action-packed listen in The Last Stand of the Golems. In just a short runtime, he blends sci-fi and horror masterfully, bringing to life sentient golem soldiers battling undead hordes in a post-apocalyptic wasteland.

The narration is intense and immersive, making every clash feel monumental. Despite the fast pace, there's real heart here - sacrifice, resilience, and a spark of hope in a dying world. This is short-form storytelling done right.
