يوضح كتاب معجزة الزمان والمكان في في الركن الخامس من أركان الإسلام بعض جوانب الحكمة المكانية والزمانية لعبادة الحج، مع التأكيد على حقيقة أن الأصل في العبادات أنها لا تعلل، لأن العبادة هي خضوع لله بالطاعة. ولكن إذا فهمت الحكمة من أداء العبادة فإن مؤديها يتقن أداءها، ويستمتع بهذا الأداء المتقن، ويؤجر عليه أجرا أوفر بإذن الله والكتاب يلخص حقيقة أن الله (تعالى) يريد من كل مسلم, بالغ، عاقل, حر، ومستطيع أن يتعرض ولو لمرة واحدة في العمر لكرامة أشرف بقاع الأرض وأقدمها (الحرم المكي) في أشرف أيام السنة (الأيام العشرة الأولى من شهر ذي الحجة) فيتضاعف الأجر أضعافا كثيرة بإذن الله. والكتاب يعرض من الأدلة العلمية ما يؤكد على خصوصية الحرم المكي مما يدعم ذلك ويؤكده ويدعو إلى الالتزام به .
