This is the only book on freeze drying you will ever need! From beginning to end, it is well written, thorough, and easy to listen to! I now know what to do as a beginner. Chapters 4 and 5 were the most beneficial for me: "Using Your Freeze Dryer to Preserve Food" and "Preparing Food to Freeze-dry". There are even recipes included at the end of the book. I am ready and excited to start freeze drying, especially with this wealth of information, and I will purchase the paperback too. Groceries are expensive, and freeze drying is a great way to preserve food that might otherwise be wasted and thrown away. If you aren't sure about investing in a freeze dryer, this book will eliminate your doubts, answer your questions, and get you started! I highly recommend! 5 stars!

It explained the requirements for each different size of freeze dryer, the space needed, the electrical needs, how to use them and etc. It explained the difference between rehydrating and reconstituting. Also it helped me understand how to use the freeze dried foods to make meals. I appreciated learning the different ways to store the freeze dried foods. All in all a very valuable resource tool!!!
