I enjoyed this so much, the turning of a history book back into a story with emotion and narration to help you see the Holy Bible as it might have been. And the extras were just as fascinating!

Blaine has not only a great grasp on the scriptures but what has been written over the centuries about the Bible. Having said this it is Blaine's story telling ability that I love. My favorite author is John Eldredge, but Blaine exceeds his father on his first book. I look forward to many more books from Blaine.

I actually love the story itself but the narration was a little distracting. I think this great work really deserves someone who does different voices well. Blaine, you are a gem, and I think you need to hire a good storyteller for your book.

We enjoyed the retelling of Biblical stories within scripture. People who don’t appreciate innovative retelling might be horrified, but the author brings receipts especially with the valuable extras for those that appreciate a being slightly more technical.
The extras were also informative, and you do not have to know something of theology to find value in them.

The Paradise King is stunning! It moved me to tears through the message of our Father and journey Eldredge takes us on through His Word. Eldrege’s treatment of these stories is beautiful, and his voice is lovely to the ear. This book and Eldredge’s telling is a balm to the soul. Come, Paradise King! Come!

The way the author writes and tells the story of the Bible lifts it off the pages and turns a two dimensional flat historical account into a three dimensional story that adds color and context and most importantly allows me to stand there in the midst oft it all. It makes it real to all

I absolutely loved the narrative elements placed into the admittedly dry stories we Christians have cherished all our lives. It opened my eyes to whole worlds to these real people. The author’s reading of the book was wonderful, adding the life he wished to see these stories. Thank you so much for this.

I discovered this book through the Wild at Heart orbit. After many years of studying the Bible within a sanitized framework, this book not only colored in the ancient pages, but it brought life back into my walk with God. Blaine brilliantly connects the Biblical timelines and details to import historical contexts and background stories.

Reminds me of Paradise lost, a book I really enjoyed. Additionally, as a Protestant, it exposes me to different perspectives on various events and people in scripture of which I think is both rich and challenging - it’s worth the read. I appreciate the substantiated reasoning provided for what is presented.

The author is gifted in story telling and I look forward to more from him. His raw personal story allows for a deeper appreciation to the depths of darkness and future hope given.
