Long before the Hare ...

Long before the Age of Heroes ...

Long before the Goddess of the Temple ...

There lived dragons, elves, witches and giants ...

Legend has it that the dragons and the giants helped build Durundal, using their great strength to lift and carry and wrestle the enormous blocks into place. These same legends also say that the elves contributed their magic to the city, with underground passages to the Elven World. Legend also has it that witches sought the seeds of the greatest dragons and spawned great heroes with the heart of a human and the strength of a beast. Durundal was the most magnificent kingdom back then. But then the Dark Lord began to destroy it all and rule with brutality and fear.

Before the lands were split by oceans or rule, there was deepest magic. But in the wrong hands magic is dangerous with unsurmountable power to corrupt.

When light fades, even destiny can be broken.

The Elven King is dead—murdered for defying the Dark Lord. His queen, bearer of the sacred Flame of Aelir and chosen vessel of the prophecy, has been taken and hidden away in a fortress of eternal night. Cut off from the sun, the stars, and the Fates she once communed with, her power wanes. The light within her dims with each passing day. And with it, the hope of the kingdoms begins to die.

For centuries, the Queen’s bond with the Fates kept the balance between light and shadow. Through her, the sacred Flame burned, warding off the return of the darkness that once nearly consumed the realm. But now, imprisoned and isolated, she is vulnerable—not only to the Dark Lord’s power, but to despair. And as her light flickers, his shadow spreads.

The Dark Lord, a fallen prince cast out of time, seeks to unravel the prophecy and forge a new destiny in his image—one of endless night. If he can extinguish the Queen’s flame, the last barrier to his dominion will fall.

But all is not yet lost.

In the far corners of the realm, the ancient alliances stir. Dragons rise from their mountain keeps. Dwarves unearth their ancestral forges. Elves, fractured by grief, begin to unite. And the secretive forest folk—silent for centuries—step once more into the world of men and magic.

Together, they must defy their histories, overcome their divisions, and follow the scattered signs left by the Fates. For only by standing together can they free the Queen, restore the Flame, and ensure the prophecy survives.

But time is running out.

And the darkness is spreading.
