Very interesting book. I listened to it in one sitting. Tells about the mental part of the serial killer

I'm a fan of Dr Grandes you tube channel. He gives a logical analysis of the differences and similarities among serial killers. He also gives the legal definition of what a serial killer is and describes the problems with the legal definition. It's interesting to listen to a psychological analysis and comparison of the differences and similarities.

This was a very interesting listen. I like the idea of looking at these people from a personality standpoint. I also appreciate the credit that is given to pure instinct when you encounter people. We should all learn to listen to our instincts more instead of trying to give others the benefit of the doubt. Your instincts are one of your strongest survival mechanisms. As an elementary school teacher and mother, it is rare that I or my colleagues are shocked by the students who move on to stay in trouble with the law or be violent. My mother worked at our local high school a few years back as a secretary. Many of the students who stayed in trouble frequented her office. She always talked with them and had no issues. However, there was one boy who found himself in her office several times that she did not engage. She had told me on several occasions that he made her nervous. He looked dead inside and angry all the time. Shortly after he graduated, he went to the home of an elderly neighbor couple that he had known most of his life with no issues. He brutally beat, killed and robbed them.
I did want to mention that everyone talks about mother issues when people have problems in later life, however, I noticed that many of the men mentioned in this book also had abusing and violent fathers. Since this is an individual that most young boys idolize and seek to emulate growing up, I don’t understand why more weight is not placed on this relationship?

This book is an eye-opening information for those who work in psycho-social fields and anyone who is ready to understand the potential causes, complexity and dangers of this phenomena, even during their imprisonment.
