Princess Esofi of Rhodia and Crown Prince Albion of Ieflaria have been betrothed since they were children but have never met. At age 17, Esofi’s journey to Ieflaria is not for the wedding she always expected but instead to offer condolences on the death of her would-be husband.

But Ieflaria is desperately in need of help from Rhodia for their dragon problem, so Esofi is offered a new betrothal to Prince Albion’s younger sister, the new Crown Princess Adale. But Adale has no plans of taking the throne, leaving Esofi with more to battle than fire-breathing beasts.

audio got a little glitchy but for the most wasn’t bad. I liked the idea of the story, but had a hard time getting invested in the story. Going to listen to the next one and see how that goes.

An excellent story! I cried, and the characters feel like they develop in a real way. Their relationships, except for a couple of moments, feel like they develop in a real way.

There were a couple of issues with audio editing and recording, but otherwise is read excellently

Not a bad story. Definitely feels for a younger audience in language/tone and voice of characters. Also it could be the narration - Brenda does a fine job but for even the exciting parts her tone remains even and stead, somewhat airy which ramps down the tension by a lot. Again, not a bad story overall and I did enjoy it. Also looks like it will be a 4 part series so if you end up liking this, there is definitely more of the world waiting (second book doesn't have these characters in it but the third does.)

I want to give this five stars for a great short and sweet story and awesome narration. however, there is a terrible editing mistake in chapter 9 that has a brief few seconds of double recording. it's still worth listening to, but you will need to consult the book to read what was recorded over in chapter 9.

A beautiful fantasy story, and a cute queer romance. Was surprised when it wasn’t controversial in this fantastical land but all the other obstacles made up for the fortunately absent homophobia.

Great queer Fantasy read

I really liked all the details the author poured into this book and I could tell that they really put a lot of thought into the world that they were trying to build.

The narration was definitely spot on with the narrator demonstrating a range of distinct voices for many different characters including men, women, and beast (and deities?).

My only point of contention with this book is that I felt absolutely no chemistry or spark or relationship with the MCs. In particular: Adale was a very weak character, in the sense that she practically has no presence in the book. I just couldn't feel at which point they were getting close. Even toward the end, I felt like their relationship was incredibly rushed and I couldn't really feel, at any point in the story, where the "I love you" was warranted.

Overall: I believe this book was good, I enjoyed my time in the world of Inthya and I took the adventure in stride. I wouldn't really classify this book as a romance novel, and if it is, it is very light. It centers more about the world, the religion and the politics more than the relationship of the MCs. I feel like this book is a good read for a day, however, I probably won't return to this particular one in the series any time soon.

I have been waiting for Queen of Ieflaria to come out on Audible with so much anticipation, and I was not let down!

Calvin is a spectacular writer and Wlazlo’s narration expertly brings the world to life. I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves romance, drama, and fantasy!

Well written, detailed world-building without being tedious in it's exposition. A lovely lesbian romance without having to deal with homophobia as part of the setting; quite refreshing!
