I love Pamela Kelley books and I did really like this one. I like being transported to summertime near a beach anytime of year! I really have a hard time with the narration, though. She sounds very AI, lacking in enthusiasm and annunciation of many words. I literally checked to see if it was AI narrated. I like narration with fluctuating voices and emotions, but rarely found it here. The narration got in the way of the story for me, which is in classic PK style.

Friends to lovers but without steamy, explicit or serial scenes. I loved this book. Very detailed in the scenery, and with the people in the story.

Perfect summer listen! As you listen you can almost see the island, the stores and places they experience during their summer. I love “light” books like this that are entertaining and not heavy with drama.

if you're in the mood to tune out the politics of the world and jump into the wonderful seaside world of Chatham, MA you will enjoy this sweet story. it's addictingly sweet and enjoyable.

There was no excitement or adventure. No big mystery was found and solved. The book was simply about a woman who went back to her hometown for the summer, met a man, fell in love, and got engaged - and that didn’t even happen until the last 20 minutes of the Audible book. I felt it needed a better story line with some attention-grabbing situations.

The setting was good. The author made it sound like a great permanent place to live.
