Meanwhile in the Viking age, a sorceress spies for three kings but also serves a mysterious deeper purpose at the behest of the Norse gods. Who is right, and who will win? Only the gods and the archaeologists seem to know.

This book is as good if not better than the first one. I love the way the chapters are alternating, and the two stories really mesh. The magical elements added to this story was fun. looking forward to the 3rd book.
