The Snowy Day by Ezra Jack Keats remains a simple and classic children’s tale that is lighthearted and delightful. This is my first time listening to the narrated version and I as well as my grandchildren enjoyed it.

I really liked the story but the voice was way to calm in my opinion i would recommend for a good first read to fall asleep. Good background music for bedtime.

We recently discovered these kids audible books that have the illustrations in a slideshow as they listen to the stories on their fire tablets in the app. My boys (5-11) are all LOVING discovering their favorite stories over again with Audible! These are a STEAL!

The cover image for this selection rivited me immediately. Memories from my youth flooded my being: the knowledge of how the authors' rendition of a snowy day painted a hauntingly poignant picture for me leaped into my heart as I added the enhanced version to my cart.

The audio version of the book is no less emotionally appealing. Yet the read did take on a different feel, as the choice of music and the verbal-scribes' emphasis on different words impacted how the story line was presented.

I wasn't disappointed, just had to re-adjust.

I'm happy to report, I now have two versions of this classic story imbedded in my memory. :D
