Really enjoyed the characters. Michael was a complicated guy, but you couldn't help but like him.

I loved The Program and couldn't wait to listen to The Treatment. I didn't love it nearly as much I would have if it had been a stand alone book. This is because it was as if the author was hoping that we'd all forget some of the conversations and scenes from The Program. I don't want to give anything away but as an example in The Program a character would say "This is XYZ" and in The Treatment the same character would say "Can you believe this is XYZ? I didn't know that". This happened at least twice and I don't think it added to the plot at all so it made me wonder. There is also a more nitpicky critique that a scene from The Program was related again in The Treatment but the brand of soda mentioned changed from Diet Coke to Diet Pepsi. Why?

The narrator did a good job and it helps that I am used to her voice/style from The Program. She seems to have problems with accents, but mostly did just fine.

So now, here is what I liked: I enjoyed the fact that this book completed the story without unnecessarily stretching it out into a 3rd book. The characters were nicely fleshed out and were all flawed and layered rather than being one dimensional. The story moved along quickly and kept me guessing. It was interesting enough to keep me listening. The best part was that the ending was very satisfying and I will admit to getting a little teary.

All in all, The Treatment is an enjoyable book which should appeal to YA fans.

I like the relationship development we got. James is always a fun character and it's good we got more of him here.

I enjoyed the first half of the book but the second half of the book felt too much like the first book.

I don't like that the ending felt too easy and too passive. It made sense but it still felt too easy.

These books have really pulled me in. I have enjoyed them a lot. And I’m a lot more used to the awkward narrator. The choppy robotic sound doesn’t annoy me anymore. I’m just drawn into the story. :)

The main character,Sloan is so annoying! Maybe its because I am not a YA but I do love YA books and dystopian books. I listened to the first two books but there is no way I can continue down this road and listen to more. I just can't. Its a good story line but actions of the charcters drives me insane. So many times I wanted to just slap Sloan. I must have called her idiot several times. Ok she is a teenager and teenagers are idiots. ITs true, I was an idiot too. Not for me but I'm sure plenty of other people would love this series.

It's gripping, it makes my heart race, you really don't know who to trust or what's going to happen next. The narrator does a great job reading this as well.
I've seen a few people say the first book was better, but when you really think about it isn't the first book always better? It's where you really get an idea of what's going on, it's the beginning of something new. I found the second book to be just as amazing as the first.

I recently joined a book club and this was someone else’s choice. I usually never read books like this but I did it for the club. Shortly after starting the first boom I realized I was completely invested in the story line and I had to see it through. To my surprise, I really enjoyed this.
