Lauren Blakely never fails to pull me into her world and put a smile on my face. I thoroughly enjoyed this story of forbidden romance with all the best roadblocks: age gap + ex-boyfriend’s father = Count me all in! Nick and Layla/Lola are only separated by 15 years and the age gap is written in such a way that their attraction and relationship are all about what they have in common, not focused on the difference in age. I really enjoyed that aspect of the story. Just one look from across the room and their destinies are forever altered. The way Lauren pulled them together and the subtle flirting had me on the edge of my seat. Nick is one of my favorite characters, which is saying a lot! He is incredibly sexy, self made, self aware, and such an amazingly tender and excellent lover that we would all want our first time to be exactly the way it is written in this story. Just wow! Layla might have it all, but she is determined to make it on her own, without the daily name and without the family money. She is a sex-positive bad-ass lady boss who has met her match in Nick. When they come together it is simply exquisite! There are roadblocks to get through, but the way they are handled with grace and forgiveness and learning from mistakes warms my heart and adds another book to my favorite list and all the kudos for Lauren Blakely and the world she continues to build for us!

Teddy Hamilton and Vanessa Edwin are so beautiful together in this story! They deliver emotionally rich performances to bring these beautiful characters and this wonderful story to life. Excellent casting, editing, proofing, and all the other things that go on behind the curtain to bring us truly wonderful audiobooks! Lauren Blakely is an audiobook hero!

Lauren Blakely is always a ‘one click’ author for me because she creates storylines that have you swooning and melting and getting lost in her wonderfully crafted and paced love stories. In Layla and Nick’s forbidden age-gap journey we get great characters, warmth, hurdles, sex, sizzles, good friends, new friends, emotional challenges and a hero and heroine who couldn’t resist.. or walk away, from the love of their lives. But they did try.. and try.. and try. And Teddy and Vanessa were the perfect duo, the talented twosome and five star double fit to bring Nick and Layla’s sweet, sour and sexy bits to life.

Worth a credit? Its a gimme.. gimme.. gimme.. grabbing hands.. I need this now yes, very creditworthy.

“The Tryst” is a sinfully delicious forbidden age gap romance that is sweet, steamy and oh so seductive.

Layla’s past is difficult and tragic but each day she tries to live each day to the fullest. At a conference in Miami, she meets an older, attractive man, named Nick, who catches her attention in the best possible way. The two agree to one night with each other. Months later, they find themselves together again planning a fundraiser. But there’s one little problem, Nick is Layla’s ex-boyfriend’s father.

I loved the instant connection and chemistry between Layla and Nick. I could feel it as I listened and could not stop listening. Layla is smart, brave and goes for what she wants. And when that included Nick in Miami, I was cheering her on. Nick oozes confidence and compassion and has become one of my favorites from Lauren Blakely’s world. Layla and Nick fit so well together and I loved their age gap. It was enough to put Nick in the older man category but not too big that it didn’t seem realistic. They have great banter and I loved their relationship so much.

Teddy Hamilton and Vanessa Edwin were perfect as Nick and Layla. Teddy brought all of Nick’s confidence to life and I loved him as Nick. Vanessa’s performance, especially when Layla talked about her past, was so good that it gave me chills. Vanessa brings all the emotions of that memory to life.

Main characters, Layla and Nick, are sexy and steamy they have fast chemistry! This is the second book in The Virgin Society series, and each book has been outstanding! I enjoyed the connection between the two main characters and how their relationship evolved beyond the physical.

Teddy Hamilton and Vanessa Edwin narrate this audiobook, and their performances were amazing! I always enjoy listening to Teddy’s gravely sexy voice and Vanessa’s sultry and warm voice. Both narrators have a wide range in their narrating skills; I enjoyed the way they brought Nick and Layla alive.

I thoroughly enjoyed this magnificent story of older man younger woman, friendship, family, and so much love, with delightful sexy times. Lauren Blakely writes a gorgeous romantic age gap, forbidden love, book. Vanessa Edwin and Teddy Hamilton shine brightly in their respective roles of Layla Merriweather, Lola Jones, and Nick Adams. Besides the gorgeous love, there are lessons in this story which hit home for me. Nick is take charge, dominant, caring, so handsome and beyond sexy. Layla is determined, savvy, smart, sexy, and has a beautiful heart and soul. Magnificently written and preformed, this book is a joy to listen to and read. Although the audio is fabulous and well worth getting.

Lauren Blakely books are like crack to me. I always know they will be a good time.

But this one has to be one of my favorites. The age-gap, forbidden nature is my favorite trope and Lauren pulled it off so well.

The Tryst has got to be one of the best books I've binged by Lauren Blakely so far. There is such art in weaving a truly captivating tale. Even though this Virgin Society series is a little young for me I must be just young enough at heart. Will be not so patiently be waiting for the next book!
