I loved this book! The narrator did a wonderful job with not only all the characters but a talking parrot too! Such a fun read! If you love historical romances, this one will certainly tick all the boxes!

Where has Tessa Dare been all my life?!!! This was... I can’t... Just buy this book.

I am utterly charmed. I think I need to go buy this book in paper form just so I can cuddle it to my chest and spin around in circles with it while I squeal in delight. I’m serious. I loved this so much I wish I could hug it.

I would also like to hug Mary Jane Wells because she deserves it for this performance. Also a high five. And a bonus paycheck. And maybe a flock of sheep, as soon as they are out of quarantine. But maybe not a sham sandwich.

Witty and light hearted fun. Good villian; you really hate him, but did not make the story dark. Brava!

It was a fun and original tale.

The animals though, that was funny and endearing.

The narrator was Fantastic!! She really brought the characters to life. Her voice is very melodious, you could listen to her for days and never weary.

This one had less comedy, but more meat to the plot. It also didn’t fit the formula in a delightful way. It didn’t end at all like I thought it would.

Definitely the best of this series. I love penny and Gabriel. For the fault finders I say this. Don’t try to read reality into the story. It’s a sweet love story and one of my favorite books of any kind or any time and I have read a bunch of them in my 78 years.

This is what I hope all books to be, a complete joy to listen to. I found myself laughing out loud often. I loved and was rooting for the H & h. The animals lead to much of the humor. Tessa Dare is a marvel at telling a well written, intriguing story.
