Reseñas editoriales
In the third of Burroughs's "John Carter of Mars" series, the man from Earth unites warring races and is reunited with his love, Dejah Thoris. John Bolen unnecessarily reads the story with a Virginia accent, but he does so effectively and consistently in a way that does not take away from the performance. The recording is unadorned by music or other effects. The story is a fitting and exciting conclusion to the first three audiobooks, and provides a satisfying surprise ending.

If you could sum up The Warlord of Mars in three words, what would they be?
violent love storyWhat did you like best about this story?
I love the whole series, and this is just another great installment in it.What does John Bolen bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Even though his attempts at accents don't go very well, he does a passable enough job that you can understand what is going on.Great Read

Not as bad as some of the reviews

John Bolen narrates this work with both skill and, more importantly, with respect. Subject matter that seems campy and stilted by comparison with modern fiction is delivered professionally. Mr. Bolen performs a subtle Southern accent very well, imparting just the right amount of geography to John Carter. He speaks with a slow cadence that I find reverential, which is perfectly suited to this science fiction classic.
Highly recommended for fans of classic science fiction.
A rousing John Carter adventure

The narrator should not be part of the story but should allow the words on a page let YOU be part of the story.
I was willing to pay twice for the same book just to hear Scott Bricks voice and not the so called southern gentleman.
