Lane Garrow has a secret - one that could get her killed.

In a world where female sailors are executed, 16-year-old Lane's dream of being a ship's captain seems impossible. I bought this because I met the author at a book signing and she was so sweet and the book seemed interesting. I enjoyed this book and thought the setting and the romance were fun. My one gripe with the book is that there are SO MANY last minute revelations in the last 45 minutes of this book it's ridiculous. There are at least four Big Reveals, and three of them happen in the last ten or so pages of the book.
It was a fun adventure, and I do appreciate that it appears to be a stand alone. We need more stand alone books. I can't commit to a whole series all the time. This was perfect for getting me back into reading.
