Acerca de esta escucha

Twenty Million Tons Under the Sea is the amazing account of American U-Boat hunter Daniel V. Gallery during World War 2. His "hunter-killer" force boarded and captured a German submarine.

Well written with great. narrative I didn’t expect it to be quite so long however it was very interesting

Frank discussion of after war not do ideals

I've been a fan of Daniel Gallery's books for 50 years. He is a master at both fact and fiction storytelling about the Navy. This book is as good as any others he's written. In fact, I would love to see other titles such as "Clear the Decks" and "Eight Bells" available on Audible.

Just please, ditch this narrator! The voice is wooden and his pronunciation of German terms is bad enough, but his pronunciation of naval terminology is terrible. And the strange thing is that after hearing him mispronounce Schooner dozens of times, at one point (and only one) he actually pronounces it correctly. His timing is also stilted. It's as though he is seeing the text for the very first time.

Classic Gallery Greatness... Terrible narrator

While the Author is one of my all-time favorites… I could not enjoy the tale as much as I would like.
The narrator did not understand German pronunciation nor did he understand how to pronounce certain Naval terms.
It made for very distracting listening when you’re talking back at the speakers how to pronounce certain words.
Also the narrator misspoke several words/phrases a few times or just repeated the first few words more than once.
The author: Daniel V. Gallery I give 5/5 Stars.
The narrator: Joseph Gomez I give 2/5 stars.

Love the author- not so much the narrator

the story is incredible and I recomend it to all History Nerds

I went into this knowing most likely the Naval terms would be mispronounced and they were but damn mispronounced Gobralter, Chicago, Luftwaffe, Cartagena... it was hard listening to some of this book.

Wow the word.

I enjoyed the book overall and have seen the Sub several times in Chicago where it is on display.
The story is just to long and in places seems to just drag on and on.

Narrator has a horrible bouncy cadence and tends to stretch out the last word of every sentence. It seems like a really good book but the narration is so jarring that it's very difficult to enjoy

Great book horrible narrator

How iliterally the narrator mispronounces common nautical terms, not to mention the poor pronunciation of German words.

Great Story, Amateur Narrator
