Anna Faris has advice for you. And it's great advice, because she's been through it all, and she wants to tell you what she's learned. Her comic memoir and first book, Unqualified, will share Anna's candid, sympathetic, and entertaining stories of love lost and won. Part memoir, part humorous, unflinching advice from her hit podcast Anna Faris Is Unqualified, the book will reveal Anna's unique take on how to navigate the bizarre, chaotic, and worthwhile adventure of finding love.

Hilarious, authentic, and actually useful, Unqualified is the book Anna's fans have been waiting for.

Reseñas de la Crítica

“Goofily self-deprecating, casually profane and occasionally raw, earnest and blunt, like Ms. Faris herself.” (The New York Times)

Unqualified is observant, sharp, and startlingly revealing, not only about Faris’s romantic history, but of the broader discrepancies between modern male and female Hollywood stardom writ large.” (The Ringer)

“[Faris] has an engaging voice and is capable of expressing a distinct point of view. She is most affecting in her occasionally bittersweet reflections, as she recounts stories about working in the industry, her anxieties and frustrations about auditioning, and the personal challenges of dealing with aging in Hollywood.” (Kirkus Reviews)

This book is delightfully honest and reminds me why Anna Farris is so likable. A guide on do’s and don’t regarding your love life—it’s also cheaper than therapy, so why not try it. A testament that any awkward, short, stoner—like myself—can achieve their dreams.

Anna Farris, thank you.

Honest, raw, vulnerable, many things Anna Faris isn't always comfortable being, but excels at. Effortlessly relatable, funny, a very fun listen.

Very Endearing, Effortlessly Relatable

I guess I bought the book without knowing what it was abnpit by mistake. But it was fun listening to someone else's take and expeierences on relationships. some chapters really hit home, and I was surprised she didn't mean to be in comedy.
I would love to have to her officiate my wedding

Anna Faris is a symbol of comedy. From "Scary Movie" to "Mom" and everything in between, she has played hilarious characters all throughout her career. What would she write a book about? Well, we all have stories to tell and "Unqualified" is about that: her life, her podcast and love life. She's not an expert on love (And, let's be honest, no one is) but she openly shares her relationships, marriages and experiences. With her characteristic wit and comedy, Anna makes you have a great time going through her life, her fears and experiences, her career and her podcast, she even shares comments from listeners about how to get over a break up. Overall, the book is entertaining, it's nice to listen to her point of view about Hollywood, wanting to be taken as a "serious" actress after all the comedy she's done, and relationships in general. Her "Unqualified Advice" sections are hilarious, and her reflections about life and love are interesting. It's worth a reading, and the audiobook version it's even better, she is the narrator and it's very enjoyable.

An enjoyable book!

I was so excited about this book coming out since I am an avid listener of the podcast. Anna did not disappoint. This is actually the first audiobook I have listened to, and it was awesome! Anna made it sound so natural while reading the book outloud. The book has it all. It's fun, smart and quirky. I laughed, I cried, I got a little grossed out... it was everything I hoped it would be. I hope you have started on your second book Anna!

The best advice you never knew you needed

I loved it, the honesty, nothing between the lines...I'm mean don't we all give all unqualified advice, she just put it to words.

couldn't stop listening

Great book! Will recommend to my friends and family. Really make you think about your life and how you grew up. It makes you who you are today.

Anna's delivery and openness are wonderful and endearing. The stories about her life and far and away the best parts. The excerpts of podcast questions drag it down. Especially when she and a co-star are having repugnant neurotic imaginary fights with imaginary men. Ironically one is about red flags and jeez these segments would be a big one for me. Thankfully there aren't many of these. The memoir parts open and raw. I've read plenty of memoirs where the author is quick to point out everyone else's flaws and blame but seems blind to their own responsibility. Not the case here. If anything she's sometimes too hard on herself. Faris's self-awareness is incredibly refreshing.

For narration: when Anna reads her own voice, it's fantastic and natural. I love when actors perform audiobooks, especially their own. When she reads dialogs between herself and a friend, it's awful. Fortunately the vast majority is her own delightful parts.
