This is the only “book” I’ve ever listened to that is the length of a podcast. That’s because it’s not a book.
It’s an ad disguised as a book. What this “book” tells you is that you should 1) set your phone to “focus” while you are working, 2) use (mostly now outdated) digital services to streamline your practice, and 3) resources on the author’s site/business. Over two-thirds of this “book” is reviews by alleged followers of the author (one which even creepily states “I’m so glad I was able to receive this information” as if he is a profit or something) each followed by marketing plugs for each of those reviewing attorneys. Lastly, not only are many of the automation tools and services outdated, he recommends using a long list of services when there are many easy to use and low cost services that combine many of these services into one service. Then - spoiler alert - the end of the “book” suggests you join his site to get more information (for a fee?).

He even recommends a particular printer and a computer mouse and a scanner and a webcam…and a business credit card (a plug for Chase Sapphire and American Express Gold…along with the link to sign up for it…) It just seems like he was paid by each of these companies to mention him in this “book” as an ad for them. I have no idea but just a guess….Occam’s Razor.

So glad I listened to this for free on a free audible trial. It was just so bad and so self indulgent and contained no usable information.

This whole “book” just seemed creepy.

This is an AD, NOT a BOOK. Do NOT waste your $.

Some of these "how to" books contain a sales pitch, but this one is way beyond that...The self advertising is so aggressive it sometimes feels like a parody, and except the constant tedious and clumsy attemps to sell you products, there is precious little here.
In short: only listen to it if you get well paid to do it.

This guy must be a great salesman. I just paid, with both my money and my time, for a book that was nothing more than elaborate commercial for the author’s paid marketing program. Half of the book was testimonials from the author’s clients. There were some substantive nuggets but not enough. I’m fine listening to a plug for another product, but this book goes way beyond that. The testimonials were like advertisements as well. Not only did they mention the name of the reviewer, but also really specific details about the reviewer’s law firm, practice areas and titles. That was really weird. I don’t recommend this book. I will also point out that the author offers links to get resource materials, but those links take you to his website where you have to listen to the author encourage you to sign up for a “discovery call” about his marketing system. I listened to the whole video and provided my contact information but the resources were never emailed to me. That’s not cool at all.

Most of ch 1 is reading “reviews” from satisfied clients. The rest is obvious stuff like “delete your social media apps to increase your focus.” I’m so irritated I cannot continue listening to see if he actually has anything to stay. Adding to my visceral reaction is the horrible annoying voice of the reader.

well a little heavy on testimonials the book seemed to practice what it preached and in a sense is its own funnel. The idea is that it presented create an enticing contemplation to join the group. The strategies that are shared are immediately beneficial

Buen contenido y consejos, aunque a veces uno puede sentirse saturado por el constante pitch de venta, pero a la vez esto te permite ver parte del esquema sugerido en acción. Me gustaría un poco más de contenido, que no me dejara sintiendo que me falta algo.
