I believe that this would be a great book for a hospice to carry. I am a funeral director, and I generally end up on the other side of the process, but I have studied to be a grief counselor a well. To me, this is one of the most important things a family can have to help them, but few reach out in their time of need. I found this book to be informative, genuine, and sympathetic to those who are in the midst of a death or are dying themselves. Having a degree in Psychology as well as sociology I can state that everything here is valid and a psychological benefit. Gilbert has a nice calm and compassionate voice that guides you through each chapter. Even though I did receive a promo code for this review it in no way influenced my considerations of the material, and in fact, inspired me to be more honest. In fact, getting a code generally makes me harsher as a reviewer as I am more often concerned what someone like Me will decide based on my review.

A great guide to help a family in his process

I was hoping for more guidance in helping my loved one through this dying process. As a healthcare giver, I was hoping to gain more knowledge than I already know about the dying process and helping g one get through it. If you have zero knowledge or understanding then this would be a great basic start. If you are a healthcare giver and have some familiarity with this process, this will not expand your knowledge.

I already know this information
