This is the first of a paranormal why choose duet. I adore cliffhangers and this book ends with one. I want to be in pain and curious about the characters while waiting for the next in a series. I am going to be thinking about Melanie, Wesley, and Samael while I wait!
I love a tragic back story, and all three of the MCs come with their own. Due to this, there are definitely some trigger warnings. One is a reaper, one is a young adult trying to make a life for herself after being orphaned, and another is the hopelessly in love with her and mentally struggling. All three are morally gray doing both questionable and heroic things throughout this book.
The plot is also 🌶️spicy spicy spicy🌶️ which introduces some additional TWs.
If you’re a monster loving, villain adoring, PNR fan, this one is definitely for you!
