Acerca de esta escucha

There are places in the world that hold more than just memories—they hold power. Ancient, unknowable, and waiting. The town of Arnold may look like any other small, quiet community nestled in the shadow of a forest, but those who have lived there long enough know that White Pines is no ordinary lake and stretch of trees. They speak of disappearances, strange lights flickering through the darkness, and whispers carried on the wind—secrets that no one dares to investigate too closely.

This story is not just a tale of terror, but a reflection of the human mind’s most vulnerable places: our fears, our guilt, and the way we struggle against the things we cannot understand. The forest is more than a physical place; it is a mirror, reflecting back the darkest parts of ourselves.

In “Whispers of White Pines,” we explore what happens when curiosity meets fear, and when the past refuses to stay buried. The characters you’re about to meet—Emily, Jake, Ryan, and Sarah—will discover that the forest’s pull is not one that can be easily escaped. The deeper they go, the more they unravel not only the forest’s mysteries, but their own.

And as you listen, remember this: the forest is always watching.

Hmm... if everything in you says to turn back—maybe you really should turn back. The idea that bad choices lead to bad outcomes? Makes sense. While I found myself frustrated and yelling at the characters early on, by the halfway point, I stopped caring. This story might work as a campfire tale—but only if it were much shorter. The plot was incredibly repetitive and lacked momentum. The narrator did a decent job overall, though there’s definitely room for improvement.

Stretched out way too long

Received as an audio copy from the author, this is an honest review. Gorgeously narrated by and Adam Knox, Whispers of White Pines is a harrowing, profound story as the old forest that surrounds the small town of Arnold feels like any dense woods anybody would encounter. For a group of close friends, an adventure into the woods turns into an absolute nightmare with the eerie disappearance of their friend Sarah; and suddenly the forest is hunting the group and escaping throws the group into WA ting to find Sarah... even if it means plunging into this alien sex of towering trees. What they discover about their town and its terrible secret of vanishings that never made much sense and something ancient is haunting these woods will change their lives forever.

Highly recommended.

A forest that should be avoided
