I really enjoyed this story. I loved the characters Gemma was strong character and I loved that. I also love Lucas. The book is well written and it captured my attention. The only thing that didn't do it for me was the narration it just didn't connect for me, but overall a great book and I'm looking forward to book two. 🎧 AudiobookObession 🎧 PinkFlamingoPorductions

This is the first book that I have read and listened to by Veronica Eden, but it will not be the last. The narrators do an amazing job with the characters and make you feel like you are part of the story. Parts of it you want to smack both them upside the head, but then you remind yourself that they are young and not used to using their words so you just yell at them inside your head.
It was nice to see the change in Lucas as he grows more and how Gemma becomes more confident in herself.

I read these books out of order so this happened to be my last. I loved every single one of them! I might even have to listen again if I can’t move on just yet haha. I love the characters and how they overlap with the books and yet each book is it’s own story. I will say there was one of the “enemy” scenes in this enemies to lovers romance that kind of broke me and I cried and thought no way would I ever accept them as a couple after this, but of course in the end I did lol! Performance was amazing! Story was amazing!

I enjoyed the audiobook, as a fan of the bully romance trope, this one was enjoyable but a bit rushed, I like high school drama and everything that comes with it especially for this trope. The audiobook narrators Stephanie Rose and Alan Carlson did a good job portraying the characters, the editing and overall was good, definitely good enough to get the audiobook instead of the book.

This is probably one of the best bully romances I’ve heard in a really long time! The tension is so high between these two and the chemistry is off the charts! I listened to this book all in one go because I just couldn’t stop, it is so good. Alan Carlson is a new narrator to me but when he is paired with Stephanie Rose, it brought this book to life perfectly. Writing is also fantastic.

Veronica Eden is a new author to me and I’m glad I pick this up. This book is just when I needed when I’m in a book funk! Stephanie Rose & Alan Carlson did an amazing job at narrating

Who doesn't love a great High School bully romance? Gemma and her twin brother Alec are new in town. Alec is instantly part of the "it" crowd. He is on the football team and is fitting right in. Gemma on the other hand is doing everything in her power to stay under the radar. She use to be popular at her old school, but wants nothing to do with the popular crowd now. Everything changes when she has to pick up Alec from a party at Lucas Saint's house. Lucas is on top of the school. He is the quarterback of the Varsity team. He is bored with all the same people and parties. He has to pretend to be someone he's not. When Gemma catches Lucas's eye. This book may have a trigger warning for some. However by the end of the book Gemma and Lucas get their HEA. Alan Carlson and Stephanie Rose did a fantastic job narrating in the duet style. Can't wait to see who the next book is about!

For the most part I thought this was a pretty good story. I didn’t love it, but I didn’t hate it either. I guess I tend to go more towards the “liked it” part. The main characters were easy to like and Lucas, who was the bully, ended up being a nice guy. I don’t know why they called it a dark bully romance because although he was mean, he wasn’t as much as some characters in other books. I would tend to say he was more of a tease and mischievous than anything else. He wanted what he wanted and he went for it.

Gemma has a secret that causes her to act the way she does but we never really find out the full extent of it. We just get a little of the background story.

This was the first time I read a book by this author, and it’s also the first time I listened to these narrators. I love the duet style of narration and I think both of them did an excellent job.
