Acerca de esta escucha

Women in War is a stirring, raw, and profoundly inspiring collection of over twenty true stories about brave women who served and fought throughout history. Written by bestselling author and retired police officer David Yuzuk, this powerful narrative is the result of meticulous research and firsthand interviews, offering a unique and intimate look into the lives of military heroines.

Step into the combat books of the courageous women who served from the steamy jungles of Vietnam to the arid deserts of Iraq and Afghanistan. Facing overwhelming adversity and enduring unspeakable losses, these women warriors demonstrate that the true strength of a warrior lies in their heart.

“Gripping stories of female heroism that will awe and inspire.”

—NY Times bestselling author Ralph Pezzullo

“I thought I was going to die that day! The Viet Cong launched a brutal attack, and the explosion hit like a freight train, its deafening roar slamming into my ears just seconds before the shockwave hurled us off our feet, Doors were ripped from their hinges, and windows were shattered into a thousand pieces.

“The pandemonium jolted me back to reality. I grabbed my flak jacket and sprinted to the Intensive Care Unit. Were the enemy already inside our perimeter, AK-47s in hand, bayonets fixed? It didn’t matter. My mission was clear — Protect the soldiers in my care. They came first, no matter what.”

—Ginny Dornheggen

Great stories 👍 👏 👌. However, please be aware that the narration is done through AI. Still worth the read and the price is great.

This is an interesting book!

I'm not a fan of virtual voice, but the material is good and needs to be told. Probably more enjoyable if you read it in person.

A book worth actually reading.

The stories were great but narration was abysmal: mispronounced words, butchered names, poor phrasing of sentences, just so very many screwups that totally interrupted the narrative flow. At the end we are told that the narration is AI… I was wondering about it for most of the book; it was just so pitiful and jarring.

The stories themselves are good. Narration is HORRIBLE!
