Acerca de esta escucha

What would you rather do tomorrow: Regret the past or build a successful future?

"Moving ahead doesn't mean forgetting where you've been. It means acknowledging that where you've been is not the only place you can go," asserts Dr. Arthur Freeman in WouIda, Coulda, Shoulda. Break out of your daily litany of "woulda, coulda, shoulda" excuses and get into action with this problem-solving program. Learn to stop letting negative events from the past block you from living fully in the present. Your past does not have to be an indicator of your future. You can unlearn self-defeating behavioral patterns and begin to lead a happy, rewarding life. Using the techniques of cognitive therapy, Dr. Freeman does not encourage you to painfully analyze why you became a "woulda, coulda, shoulda" thinker. Instead, he instructs you on how to replace suppressive anxiety over the past with a step-by-step action plan for now. You also discover specific methods for:

  • Coming to terms with past mistakes
  • Analyzing your own thoughts to identify and eliminate negative, distortional thinking patterns
  • Using diversionary tactics to stop the flow of "woulda, coulda, shoulda" thoughts

Woulda, Coulda, Shoulda will lead you from confusion to decision, from immobility to productive activity. Based on the landmark book by Dr. Freeman and Rose DeWolf, this program offers you internationally recognized methods for overcoming past mistakes, regrets and missed opportunities.

There are many good ideas here. I’ve only listened once, and I intend to listen again. So much to think about.

Quite helpful

The actual book is great, but this audio version is only an extremely shortened summary. Very disappointing.

Not the full actual book

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

Anyone who is new to the self-help, psychology or cognitive therapy

What aspect of Arthur Freeman and Rose DeWolf ’s performance would you have changed?

The music inbetween the chapters were the cheesiest ever. Great 1990s, eh?

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

Not really

Any additional comments?

I will return it

Such a silly sally book

Some good ideas, some too simplistic. Examples often seemed strained. Condescending tone makes most of it hard to listen to.

Condescending.

Very little content contained in the book. No cognitive exercises or techniques. Only high level observations and commentary of which you're already aware. If you're looking for tools to correct or improve, this book provides none.

Do not waste your money or a credit on this book
