Losing our jobs, suffering a physical injury, seeing the death or injury of someone we care about, or ending a relationship can all cause emotional turmoil. Even positive events, such as a new home, marriage, or new job, can cause anxiety because we are confronted with something with which we are unfamiliar.
When our minds are in turmoil, the body is the first to respond. As if you did not already know, the body is there to remind you that things are not going well. The body does this in a variety of ways, including the development of high blood pressure, an ulcer, insomnia, and other symptoms. All these signs and symptoms are physical manifestations of an anxious state of mind. Whether we are aware of it or not, the mind and the body function as a unit.
So, where does yoga fit into the picture? As our mental awareness increases because of yoga, we become more conscious of our underlying emotions and thoughts. That enables us to express and acknowledge our feelings rather than burying them and allowing them to fester further inside of us. Negative emotions can be dealt with and put behind us if they are expressed in the proper manner and at the proper time.
When we can deal with negativity effectively, we are better able to appreciate the more positive aspects of our lives. Sometimes we can become so overwhelmed that we are unable to see anything good or positive, even though it is clearly visible all around us. This audiobook will tell all, and you will soon lose weight.
