    We begin 35,000 years ago with the earliest known humans who lived on Japan, the paleolithic hunter-gatherers, followed by the semi-sedentary Jōmon people. Little is known for certain about either group, but I try to construct a basic outline for what their lives would have been like.

Definitely recommended for those looking for extensive, in depth information on Japanese/ east Asia history. Aside from the audio imbalance in the beginning is worth it in the long run.

The story was very very specific but when you listen to it for a while you DO NOT get bored and it’s a great book if your looking to fall asleep but when I say that I mean it in a good way.

You can’t just read, I want to learn about Japan. First ones were okay, but you got to talk and discuss not read sun tzu and Daoism, I am going to listen more but skip this one
