Real talk? Modern parenting is a doozy. There’s never been more pressure to be perfect with social media readily at our fingertips - mixed with total isolation and no help. Where the f*ck is that village everyone talks about? Consider After Bedtime your village. Led by Kristin and Deena - founders of the largest online parenting community, Big Little Feelings - After Bedtime is the place you can go at the end of a long hard day to find your “enough”-ness. We’ll laugh, we’ll cry, we’ll maybe pee our pants a little as we unpack things we’re ALL experiencing but too ashamed to talk about: imperfect marriages, miscarriages, managing toddler mania, apologizing to our kids and everything in between. You’ll leave with actionable, realistic tips to make this whole parenting thing smoother - small changes, big impact. In an age where parents need more *real* connection than ever, let’s talk honestly about the hard - and remind ourselves we are not alone, we are not failing. In fact, we’re f*cking crushing it.

  • Let’s Argue: Screen Time, Co-Sleeping, the Stay-at-Home Shame Spiral, and Other Parenting Hot Topics
    Jun 25 2025

What’s more controversial than politics? Parenting. In this unhinged, unfiltered, and unexpectedly heartfelt episode, Kristin, Deena, and Tyler go head-to-head on the most hotly debated parenting topics: screen time, co-sleeping, lying to your kids, SAHM vs working mom, and more. It’s hilarious. It’s real. It’s backed by science and sarcasm. And by the end, you’ll feel seen, soothed, and maybe a little sweaty.

  • 3 Food Rules We're Breaking on Purpose to Raise Healthy Eaters
    Jun 18 2025

We grew up with food being labeled “good” or “bad.” With sweets treated like gold and guilt baked into every bite. With pressure to finish our plates and shame if we didn’t. We’re breaking that cycle. In this episode, we’re sharing 3 powerful ways we’re helping our kids build a healthy, shame-free relationship with food and their bodies:

Why we don’t hype up sweets (no food gets put on a pedestal)

Why we never force bites or make them earn dessert

Why we don’t call any food “bad,” not even packaged snacks

This isn’t about raising perfect eaters. It’s about raising kids who trust their bodies, enjoy food, and feel good around the table—for life.

  • We Almost Got Divorced: What's Saved Deena's Marriage After Kids
    Jun 11 2025

What happens when you go from loving partners… to basically roommates with two screaming babies, no sleep, and zero support?

This week, Deena sits down with her husband for the first time ever on the pod for an honest, raw conversation. Together, they open up about the silent resentments, postpartum breakdowns, missed expectations, therapy breakthroughs, and the rock-bottom moment when Deena said out loud: “I don’t want to do this anymore.”

But this isn’t just a story about almost falling apart—it’s a story about doing the deep, messy, sacred work of coming back together.

You’ll walk away feeling seen and less alone on the invisible labor load and why it breaks so many moms, plus a practical look at how they rebalanced their roles, restructured communication, and rebuilt trust. Oh, and an answer to what everyone has been asking: "How did you get your husband to go to therapy?!" (and how it changed everything).

It's ok if you're in the messy middle of your relationship. If you’re navigating the impossible mix of marriage, identity shifts, and parenting young kids—you’ll feel less alone. You’ll feel seen. You’ll feel hopeful.

And you’ll have the tools to start rewriting your own story.

Love this new podcast so much! It's refreshing to listen to other moms be so open and relatable! I hope you don't tone yourselves down for the prudes I've seen complaining about the language.

Love it!

Incredibly relatable.

The only negative thing I'd say is there are a lot of "plugs" or sponsored ads. I don't know how it is to any other podcast since I don't routinely listen to any others, but it's way more than I expected or like.

Powerful, raw, real
