This episode hits different. Sure it's horror still, but it just hits different. There's a few episodes in podcasts I'll keep on my device well after finishing the season just so I can relisten to it, and this is one of them.

A poignant Episode

I really enjoyed this series. The storytelling, music, and plot are all weaved together in a way that makes the whole piece so full and encompassing. Highly recommend this one.

eerie, creepy, scarey, and inspiring

The main character of this podcast is a lesbian woman who is traveling across America in search of her missing wife. Along the way she find things that perhaps should have stayed hidden. This podcast from Nightvale Presents features amazing voice talent and leaves the experienced writing of Joseph Fink and Jeffrey Crainer on full display for all to hear.

with notes of existential dread, romance, and wanderlust: "Alice Isn't Dead" tells a fantastic story targeted towards young adults but can be enjoyed by all.

I would highly recommend this story if you're a fan of "Welcome to Nightvale," or have a love of horror.

Fantastic existential horror.

I do a lot of driving myself and this was wonderful to listen to. Honestly. I loved the LGBT+ representation. I loved the scifi horror paranormal theme to it.

One of my favorite dramas

I love a good scripted podcast and I think this is my favorite. Obviously I haven't heard every one but I've heard a lot of them. I like the characters and the author does a really good job of setting the mood and sense of place. Some people might not like how oblique is the story but I really like that kind of writing. Season 1 might be a little better than season 2 but you definitely want to listen to both.

The best scripted podcast.

I loved this podcast and the standalone book. As a constant traveler in the USA, seeing the macabre in between was comforting as it unsettled in the Mose delicious embrace.

That welcome frisson

I ended up listening to this podcast at the recommendation of a friend, and I more or less enjoyed the first couple episodes as far as the story goes. I can tell that the writers are clearly very new, like it's extremely obvious that they have never done any sort of professional writing before and that becomes clear about halfway through the trailer. Still, the story is pretty good and by the time I started to get pissed off I was already kind of invested, I guess.

I do a lot of deliveries and mostly had this on in the background. The overarching story is mildly creepy and vaguely interesting, at least enough that I wasn't willing to put forth the effort to turn off the program and find something else. I was tempted to, though, since every episode contains about five minutes or less of relevant story or dialogue, and the rest is long "creepy" sound effects, or the shower thoughts and social commentary of a marginalized, rich gay man who decided to write a female character for some reason.

I hate conservatives as much as anyone and I legitimately believe they don't deserve rights or to be protected by law, but a fictional story-based podcast might not be the best time and place to air out your gay agenda bro. Your main character is a gay woman, I can guarantee that not a single republican has listened to this or ever will. It's extremely cringe, then, than you shoehorn your limp-wristed ideals into every single episode somehow. Just leave that out lol, your story and your characters are compelling enough on their own to get your point across. I don't need some weak beta trying to tell me how to think when I literally already think that way and so does everyone who has ever listened to this.

I wish this author the best of luck on the rest of his writing career. This is, as I said, obviously the first thing you've done and it's actually pretty good all things considered. The performance, on the other hand, is excellent from all parties involved and I can't sing their praises enough. Again, the only issues I could find (that end up taking up about 70% or so of the broadcast lol) are the cringe social commentary and the, legit, 20-25 minutes per episode devoted to either basically complete silence or advertisement.

Good story, terrible writer (somehow)
