  • Does "God Is Love" Prove He's Triune?
    Jun 23 2025

Trinitarians sometimes argue that 1 John 4:8 ("God is love") demands that God be triune in nature. In his popular book Mere Christianity, Christian apologist C. S. Lewis wrote, “The words ‘God is love’ have no real meaning unless God contains at least two Persons. Love is something that one person has for another person. If God was a single person, then before the world was made, He was not love.” Dr. David K. Bernard counters this philosophical argument with an examination of what Scripture says about God's character and nature.

David K Bernard, to me is one of the most influential Scholars or our time.

The most recent book is ‘The Glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ’.
Love this book, in depth, interacts with the most prominent scholars and historians of Early Christianity.

Thank you for this ministry. I appreciate Dr. Bernard's wisdom and knowledge when addressing these questions. I am learning how to better explain and reason the topics that are so frequently discussed when sharing the gospel.

could you guys talk about the altar/altar call and its origins? Bible verses that this originated from perhaps? A lot of churches don't have this experience.

God bless you all.

Grateful
