JOIN SHERI HORN HASAN @ FOR THIS WEEK’S ASTROLOGICALLY SPEAKING PODCAST WHICH DROPS MAY 30 @https://www.karmicevolution.com/astrologically-speaking
This podcast explores how the recent history between the May 17 Sun/Uranus conjunction & the May 24 Mercury/Uranus conjunction in Taurus, & the May 29/30 superior conjunction of the Sun with Mercury direct in Gemini have awakened us through unexpected sudden revelations--of the “I can see clearly now” kind--between then and now.
Awakened us to what? Well, when we look at the symbolism--from the announcement on May 18 of former president Joe Biden’s stage 4 prostate cancer to May 22’s U.S. House passage of its “friendly to the rich” budget reconciliation bill & May 24’s yet again flip flop on tariffs by President Trump—we start to see a pattern.

And that pattern, combined with announcements made between May 28-30--including a court ruling banning Trump’s on-again-off-again tariffs followed by a swift reversal of that ruling, along with the announcement of pardons for convicted individuals who have donated bigly to Trump--starts to smell like something’s rotten in Denmark.
What we may have missed the first two Sun & Mercury conjunctions to Uranus in Taurus, that’s inherent now in this latest Sun/Mercury get together in Gemini, is the sleight of hand deceit and deception that’s been going on all along.
This clearly correlate Gemini’s archetypal role & reputation as the trickster, who uses more devious ways to fool those around him. What’s different now, however, is the fact that deceit usually takes place behind the scenes.

But when we equate Biden’s sudden announcement on May 18 with the symbolic nature of the currently ongoing U.S. Pluto return, we glean from the symbolism that something that’s been hidden for a long time has now become obvious. Since the prostate is archetypally aligned with Pluto’s Scorpio, & Biden’s illness was reportedly long in the making but unknown to his doctors, this sudden revelation symbolizes how the U.S. has likewise been rotting from the inside out for quite some time & we simply never noticed.

Now, however, all of these recent Sun, Mercury, & Uranus aspects in the sky have alerted us to the fact that this current president’s grift-- now so commonplace, so boldly out in the open--is so easily accepted by those who could/should call it out for what it is. As the rest of us begin to understand with greater clarity that the emperor truly has NO clothes, we likewise recognize those who benefit from both his grift & his delusions.

So, as we wax into this month’s first quarter “crisis in action” lunar square of the Virgo Moon to the Gemini Sun on June 2--accompanied by June 1’s Venus/Chiron/Eris conjunction in Aries—we now see the tension between verifiable Virgoan facts & Geminian casual passage of non-verified information. And how much of the latter was behind such “you can’t have possibly missed it” glaringly obvious financial transactions by now.
Venus moves into its own sign of Taurus June 5/6, depending on your time zone, while Mercury conjoins Jupiter in Gemini June 8. Shortly after, Mercury will enter the Moon-ruled sign of Cancer June 8, & Jupiter follows suit on June 9. Our emotional sensitivity heightened, we then may begin to expand our intuitive capabilities to see beyond our more boundaried local scenario into wider, longer-term implications for the future.

  • SATURN ENTERS ARIES, GEMINI NEW MOON, & CHIRON CONJOINS ERIS: WOUNDED BY CHAOS, WE DISCUSS FUTURE FOUNDATIONAL PLANS TO RECAPTURE OUR RIGHTS
    May 23 2025
JOIN SHERI HORN HASAN @ FOR THIS WEEK’S ASTROLOGICALLY SPEAKING PODCAST WHICH DROPS MAY 23 @ https://www.karmicevolution.com/astrologically-speaking This week’s podcast begins with a look at the chart of former president Joe Biden since his shocking prostate cancer diagnosis was announced May 18, just after the exact Sun/Uranus conjunction in Taurus on May 17. We take a deep dive into his horoscope, starting with his Progressed Lunar New Moon @ 1’30 Aquarius on May 5, 2019, through to the previous & current opposition to his 12th House Scorpio Sun by Uranus in Taurus as it transits his 6th House of health. We posit that Biden’s journey from winning the presidency in 2020 & helping restore America to full health during the Covid-19 pandemic, to his current announcement of metastasized cancer, symbolizes the current “ill health” of the U.S. In other words, that Biden’s sudden shocking announcement of previously unknown cancer is awakening Americans to the same "weakening" as part of the trajectory occurring within their nation. How do we know this? Because we’re under the auspices now of the current Pluto return triggered essentially since the January 6, 2021, assault on the Capitol, which occurred a year before its exact return in February 2022. An insurrection incited & caused by sore loser Donald Trump in the November 3, 2020, presidential election based on false claims of election fraud—just as we approached the new Jupiter/Saturn synodic cycle on December 31, 2020, at 0’30” AQ which foretold a change in leadership. We look at how the Pluto return is annihilating the former legal rights of individuals here in conjunction with the current transiting Jupiter square to the transiting nodal axis, particularly to the Virgo South Node. And how the Mercury-ruled Virgo archetype affects our health as related to the recently passed reconciliation bill in the U.S. House of Representative which seeks “perfection” through numbers to balance the budget, yet attempts to do so by denying average citizens their previous right to government-funded health care. And that’s just the tip of the iceberg, as the House bill now goes to the Senate as we approach Saturn’s entrance into Mars-ruled Aries on May 24 & the Gemini New Moon & Chiron/Eris conjunction in Aries on May 26. Whether the Senate discusses reducing the health burden the House placed on individuals to pay more to take care of their health needs or not remains to be seen. But one thing is clear: The Saturn ingress into Mars--as Saturn begins his slow journey toward an exact conjunction to Neptune in Aries on February 26, 2026--we have the opportunity to awaken to the amount of wounding & chaos already caused under the guise of “fiscal responsibility.” This hypocritical claim by the U.S. Congress persists despite the fact that the current legislation wants to extend tax cuts for corporations and the rich at the expense of those in the lower income brackets to the tune of increasing our national debt by $3.8 Trillion over the next decade. That this has weakened our previous alliances & global partnerships—part and parcel of the waxing Saturn/Pluto 36-year cycle in Capricorn begun on January 12, 2020--becomes obvious as we’re also still under the auspices of the currently waxing Jupiter/Saturn cycle in Aquarius begun December 31, 2020.We look at the prescient words of renowned astrologer Stephen Arroyo written in 1984 about the meaning of the change from 200 years of Jupiter/Saturn cycles in earth to air, the latter of which began in 1980 in Libra. Join us to learn more about what this “grand mutation” has meant between then & now, despite the 2000 conjunction in earth again & its return to the air element for the long term in 2020. (Hint: It concerns the “reestablishment of old-style capitalism,” & the redistribution of wealth from the poorest to the richest.) Now, as we approach Saturn’s entrance into Aries, we might look at the bright side of this otherwise potentially frustrating & depressing combination of archetypal energies. On the one hand, we have the potential for an increasingly slow reduction of our rights to free speech (& more), & the resulting depression that can set in when we think we have no recourse but to bury the frustration of being told to shut up and take it.However, on the other hand, we can use this transit to devise carefully thought out long-term plans to regain our rights. Saturn in Mars-ruled Aries can slow the warrior’s roll just enough to avoid impatient or impetuous moves & to direct our energies toward succeeding through hard work. The 6’06” Gemini New Moon, at 8:02 p.m. PT & 11:02 p.m. ET on May 26, can help us plant seeds to gain new perspectives by listening to the facts. Since Gemini likes to collect & pass information, but not to analyze it for conclusions, we can use our mental adaptability to consider alternative viewpoints now about what’s causing our current state ...

  • SUN/URANUS CONJUNCTION IN TAURUS MAY 17: WILL A SUDDEN CHANGE IN VALUES DELAY OUR LONG-TERM EVOLUTIONARY PROGRESS?
    May 16 2025
JOIN SHERI HORN HASAN @ FOR THIS WEEK’S ASTROLOGICALLY SPEAKING PODCAST WHICH DROPS MAY 16 @https://www.karmicevolution.com/astrologically-speaking It seems clear now in hindsight that the May 12 Scorpio Full Moon asked us--& asks us still in the waning portion of this month’s lunar cycle--to release any attachment to making sudden changes in, or reversals of, long held, deeply felt values. In essence, the May 12 lunation served as a warning that a sudden change in values may not serve the overall evolutionary process--which understands that things cannot remain the same forever but also that change must occur slowly because that is how the evolutionary process works. Ergo, we need to release our tendency to decide to suddenly do an about face vis-a-vis our long held traditional values. This becomes even clearer when we remember two things: That Pluto is now transiting through the Uranus-ruled sign of Aquarius, denoting that evolutionary change over the long term is necessary & that it may be led by the eventual progressive empowerment of groups; & that the U.S. is undergoing still its Pluto return which began in February 2022.The Taurus Sun normally does not like change. It likes its creature comforts & finds security in its resources, including land, money, and its physical body & possessions. In short, Taurus is reluctant to change what it deems pleasurable. And what’s pleasurable is what Taurus values. However, when the Taurus Sun exact conjoins sudden change maker Uranus on May 17—particularly in stubborn change resistant Taurus—the Uranian principle that the longer change has been resisted the more sudden & shocking it will seem when it inevitably occurs becomes prevalent. In addition, Uranus, which rules Aquarius, tends to bring us sudden—sometimes shocking & often unexpected—revelations with lightning speed that provide us stark clarity. That’s why astrologers often refer to Uranus as the “great awakener.”The Sun also represents the leader in mundane astrology. And, what’s changing rapidly now is related to his or her personal values, rather than those of the collective (read: the people.) Given that Neptune’s now in Aries, we are seeing an awakening, or new birth if you will, of the need for freedom of choice within the greater collective, especially in America. And this has presented us with a dilemma in terms of this nation’s long held values around equality & freedom from tyranny. The current U.S. Pluto return, in effect for several years ahead still, denotes that adaptation will be necessary in order to avoid total extinction of the democratic process here. This podcast takes a deep dive into the sudden, recently attempted changes to both the 236 year-old U.S. Constitution & its long held & accepted legal premise around issues such as habeas corpus & the right to due process, the emoluments clause, birthright citizenship, and more. While it’s true that the U.S. Constitution is in need of a modern-day upgrade, sudden change is not the way. That’s because we don’t want to throw the baby out with the bathwater in terms of its basic principles such as that “all men are created equal,” and that the U.S. Government is one “of the people, by the people, for the people.”What will be necessary in the years to come, under the tutelage of Pluto in Aquarius, will be an update to the meaning of these words. “All men,” for example should not mean only White male Christian aristocratic landowners or corporate robber barons. It must extend its humanitarian Aquarian nature into a more collectively Neptunian sense that ALL humans deserve equal rights—including minorities, women, immigrants, LGBTQ+, etc.--& that corporations & billionaires must not tyrannically control the masses. These are the immediate issues to ponder as transiting Jupiter in Gemini forms a square to the transiting Virgo South Node & Pisces North Node, which urges us to move away from trying to control every aspect of our environment & toward relaxing into a more empathic, inclusive one. This is especially true right now in terms of Jupiter-related archetypes: law, immigration, higher education, religion, & a free press (read: freedom of speech.) As we move toward the third quarter monthly “crisis in consciousness” lunar square of the Aquarius Moon to the Taurus Sun on May 20, the tension between groups of people and a stubborn pleasure-loving executive may become even more palpable. Perhaps objections by the people to our president accepting a $400 million “palace in the sky” jet from Qatar IS a violation of the American Constitution & a step too far, eh?When the Sun enters Gemini later that day, perhaps there will be an about face, as Gemini can be fickle. And, since America’s current president’s natal Sun/Uranus conjunction in Gemini has proven to be part of how American policy is decided at this point, a change of mind is always possible. If nothing else, the Gemini archetype ...

    May 10 2025
We begin by discussing all the ASTRO NEWS YOU CAN USE from this past week, how it’s played out, & what’s on the horizon as we make our way through this month’s lunar cycle which began with the Taurus New Moon square to the Mars/Pluto opposition on April 27.Since Venus’s entrance into Aries April 30 (until June 6), we’ve seen some “let them eat cake” resistance to consumer prices heating up due to pending tariff wars begun by the U.S. Government. And the Venus/Neptune conjunction in Aries May 2 illustrated a likewise laissez faire attitude toward the U.S. Constitution’s Fifth Amendment by President Donald Trump who, when asked on Meet The Press if he agreed “that citizens and noncitizens in the United States were entitled to due process,” was less than comforting.“I don’t know,” Mr. Trump replied. “I’m not, I’m not a lawyer. I don’t know.” This as we waxed toward the first quarter monthly lunar “crisis in action” square of the Leo Moon to the Taurus Sun May 4, illustrating the vague nonchalance yet recalcitrance of a stubborn leader (Taurus Sun) to take responsibility for the due process rights of individuals (Leo Moon) under U.S. law. Keep in mind that our short-term monthly mission since April 27’s Taurus New Moon has been to plant seeds that reflect our more present-day values--as opposed to old, outdated, no longer applicable ones, like say, that trickle-down economics is the way to go, lol. Or, that corporate & billionaire money & power are more important than individual peoples’ health & well-being. You know, stuff like that… However, the major point of this month’s lunation is that once we discover (or rediscover) our soul’s true, lasting values, we may have to fight for them, as per the Mars opposite Pluto signature at the Taurus New Moon.Meanwhile Pluto’s station retrograde on May 4 (until October 14) provides us all the perfect opportunity to dig deeply into our psyches to better discover our soul’s true, lasting values. In doing so, we discover our shadow sides and bring them out into the light to be forever vanquished. The end result is that of greater personal empowerment, yeah!We look too at the upcoming entrance of Mercury into Taurus on May 10, & the already anticipated slowdown of both travel & trade. Ports on the West Coast are already reporting fewer ships docking there from places like China, a redux of the pandemic era's import shortages from only a few short years ago. Likewise, tourism to America and spending on travel within America, is down and forecast to stay that way for the foreseeable future. As we wax toward the May 12 Scorpio Full Moon which conjoins Juno, the archetypal symbol of partnership, & opposes the Taurus Sun, Uranus, & goddess of health Hygeia, we’ve already seen a few surprising firsts. On April 8—after a surprisingly quick conclave in Rome that lasted less than two full days—the first American-born Pope was chosen to lead the world’s 1.4 billion Catholics. In addition to being the first American to become pope, Pope Leo XIV is also the first member of the Augustinian Order, a Catholic religious order founded in 1244. He attended St. Augustine Seminary near Holland, Michigan, and spent much of his career as a missionary in Peru.“Peace be with you,” Pope Leo XIV greeted his new followers, & we await to see if this is, indeed, going to be true, as he will be tasked with confronting difficult decisions about the church’s direction, including the issue of greater inclusion. In addition, the inclusion of Hygeia in this lunar equation, partnered with Uranus in the sign of the physical body (read: Taurus) may signal a rapid change in the world’s health situation. Think of the starving children in Gaza (& other places deprived of food & medical care due to war and the now defunct services from USAID), & how U.S. farmers’ crops rot in silos due to increased tariffs on importing nations. Then there’s the fact that Mercury square Pluto at this lunation brings a measure of obsessiveness to the U.S. House of Representatives’ struggle still to come up with a governmental budget reconciliation bill by Memorial Day that doesn’t throw 77 million people off of Medicaid—especially in GOP districts. And that’s just so corporate billionaires can reduce their taxes under a proposed extension of President Trump’s 2017 corporate tax reduction due to expire by end 2025. And that’s not even mentioning financial cuts already made to Veteran’s benefits & potential cuts to Medicare, Social Security, etc., & the loss of medical benefits of laid off or fired federal workers under unelected billionaire Elon Musk’s DOGE. We discuss the sticking point of state & local tax caps (read: reducing family's tax deductions) bandied about in the House now, too…There’s also the implications of transiting Jupiter in Gemini’s pending mutable square to the transiting Virgo South Node & Pisces North Node as ...

  • FIRST QUARTER WAXING LUNAR “CRISIS IN ACTION” SQUARE & PLUTO RETROGRADE MAY 4: STAND YOUR GROUND!
    May 2 2025
LISTEN HERE https://www.karmicevolution.com/astrologically-speaking TO THIS WEEK’S ASTRO NEWS YOU CAN USE PODCAST WITH SHERI HORN HASAN!
This podcast, which drops May 2, discusses the intensity of this Taurus New Moon waxing cycle, as well as what’s happening since Venus entered Mars-ruled Aries April 30. With Venus in the sign of the warrior until June 6 & Pluto in Aquarius seemingly fuh-evah, is it time to fight for the values we hold dearest?
First we recount the multitude of events leading up to the April 26 Mars/Pluto exact opposition, & since the Taurus New Moon squared the Mars/Pluto opposition on April 27. And how these fit the Mars resistance against attempts by those who seek power over others, & the current themes of both empowerment & disempowerment.
We note how, with President Donald Trump’s popularity sinking in the polls, how his & his government’s disempowering actions against immigrants, federal workers, universities, etc. (read: Pluto), have driven people out onto the streets in protest all across the U.S. (read: Mars.)
We look also at some of the other horrific events as we waxed toward the April 26 exact Mars/Pluto opposition & the April 27 Taurus New Moon which carries the energy of these aspect. You know, stuff like the April 22 massacre of 26 people, most of them tourists, in the disputed region of Kashmir which has brought two nuclear powers—India & Pakistan—to the brink of war.
Then there’s the Iranian port explosion & fire from April 26 that killed at least 70 people and injured over 1,200 others, according to Iranian state media reports. Of course, April 26 was also the day Pope Francis was laid to rest, an event at which U.S. & Ukrainian presidents Donald Trump & Volodymyr Zelensky sat down together to confirm a minerals deal. That meeting seems to have resolved the tension between the two which began during their last, extremely contentious, Oval Office meeting in Washington February 28.
Also, we take a deeper dive into the chart of Virginia Giuffre, the sex trafficked victim of Jeffrey Epstein & Ghislaine Maxwell, & what was triggered in her natal chart that led to her death by suicide on April 25. Hint: This involves the triggering by transit of her natal Mars/Pluto square, so tune in for more!
We take a deep dive as well into the far-reaching meaning of this Taurus New Moon’s waxing square of the Leo Moon to the Taurus Sun May 4 and how it asks us all to stand our ground. Combined with Pluto’s station retrograde in Aquarius May 4, we can grasp the deeper meaning of getting in touch with our deepest reservoirs of self-empowerment based on what our soul knows to be our truest values.
We’re watching too, the transiting conjunction of Uranus to fixed star Algol, exact this week as we watch to see who’s head is going to fall next. Seems that Mike Walz, Trump’s national security advisor, is the most recent as he takes the fall for Signal-gate back when DoD Secretary’s classified information about the U.S. bombing of Yemen was accidentally exposed to both a journalist, and to the defense secretary’s wife. So far, he’s only been demoted to ambassador to the United Nations (pending confirmation), but we’re watching this space to see who—if anyone—is next…
K, be sure to join us at https://www.karmicevolution.com/astrologically-speaking for all this Astro News You Can Use, as well as the upcoming square of transiting Jupiter to the transiting nodal axis. As Jupiter in Gemini creates a mutable T-square to the Virgo South Node & the Pisces North Node, will we see increased tension between those who maintain a hubristic king-like arrogance & those who demand a greater sense of morality & justice from a despot wannabe?
It would seem obvious to sky watchers at this point that abuse of the legal system here in the U.S. cannot be tolerated as mothers of 1 & 2 & 4 year-old children (including one with cancer) are faced with the choice between being deported alone or with their children. Or, in some documented cases, no choice at all, as in the case of the one year-old separated from his deported mother while still being breastfed.
Join us for the latest news from the courts decisions defying the U.S. Government's disregard & disrespect for due process & the rule of law as set down in the U.S. Constitution. These forbid future deportations based on assumptions rather than facts without allowing one to exercise one's day in court. We review as well a federal Trump-appointed judge who ruled against using the 1798 Alien Enemies Act to deport people because the U.S. IS NOT AT WAR WITH ANOTHER NATION.
Tune in to find out additional astro details about how how Americans are standing their ground! See you then! Namaste…

  • INTENSE TAURUS NEW MOON'S T-SQUARE TO MARS OPPOSITE PLUTO APRIL 27 LIGHTS THE POWER STRUGGLE FUSE!
    Apr 25 2025
https://www.karmicevolution.com/astrologically-speaking JOIN SHERI HORN HASAN FOR THIS WEEK’S ASTRO NEWS YOU CAN USE PODCAST! This podcast discusses the intensity of astrological events leading up to the third Mars/Pluto opposition April 26 & the Taurus New Moon April 27!We begin by looking back, as that’s how we learn best how certain astrological aspects in the sky have manifested within the collective. It’s then we can filter this macrocosm of information down into the microcosm of meaning in our own personal lives. So, last week the Sun entered earthy, dependable, stubborn & change resistant Taurus, followed by an empathic Mars/Neptune trine on April 19. This shift became part of American support for the Supreme Court’s early morning April 19 ruling that the U.S. must return mistakenly deported Kilmar Abrego Garcia from the hellhole prison in El Salvador. It also awakened in us the knowledge that the government’s denial of the constitutional right to due process by paying the El Salvadoran dictator $15M to house such prisoners is coming out of taxpayer money.By April 20’s third quarter crisis in consciousness monthly lunar waning fixed square of the Aquarius Moon to the Taurus Sun—which included the Moon’s opposition to Mars & conjunction to Pluto, along with the Sun’s square to Mars—we knew this was a set up for something potentially alarming to happen. And so it did, as hours later as the Moon perfected its conjunction to Pluto, the lord of the underworld, Pope Francis passed away at the age of 88 during the early hours of April 21. This event, occurring two days before the Taurus Sun’s exact square to Pluto, & five days before the third Mars/Pluto opposition on April 26, echoed those of the recent past. This podcast discusses the details of the intense events which took place around the first Mars/Pluto opposition on November 3, 2024, the second on January 3, 2025. And what’s been leading up now to this third Mars/Pluto opposition as part of this series of intense, potentially violent aspects in the sky. Meanwhile, as it wanes, we discuss the lasting effects of the Aries New Moon solar eclipse monthly lunar cycle, begun on March 29, at the same time as the heliacal rising of Venus during its retrograde cycle. And how these astro-events portended the fallibility of political leaders—with a specific look the dropping poll numbers of American President Donald Trump, & the misfortunes of unelected billionaire Elon Musk since he strayed from steering the helm of his Tesla company's ship to feed a multitude of life-saving U.S. Governmentally-funded programs "into the woodchipper."We look as well at the recent Venus/Saturn & Saturn/North Node conjunctions in the sky & whether or not we collectively take up the mission of reviewing our true values & making a future commitment to them. For example, do we value the rule of law in a democracy—or not? Do we value foundational facts & commitment in our relationships—or not? These kind of intense questions continue through the exact Mars/Pluto conjunction on April 26, and the Taurus New Moon which forms a frictionally tense T-square to the Mars/Pluto opposition April 27. This sets the tone for the month ahead as we attempt to figure out where we’ve been disempowered and where we may need to fight for future empowerment. We look at all of this through the lens of the U.S. Sibly birth chart from July 4, 1776--especially since April 19 was the 250th anniversary of the first shots fired in Concord & Lexington, MA, that began the U.S. Revolutionary War on April 19, 1775. And America's current Pluto return as a time when freedom from tyranny & the message of "no kings" rings out from a growing chorus of average American citizens across the land.By the time Venus moves back into Aries on April 30, Mars becomes her dispositor. That means Venus is once again the warrior &, as the ruler of the Sun in Taurus, we’re all more inclined to defend & protect not only our own rights, but to fight for the rights of those who are less able to defend & protect themselves. By the time Venus conjoins Neptune in Aries May 2, we may well see a greater empathic response from the collective related to a myriad number of issues, the importance of which the collective will have awakened to by then. That’s as long as we allow the Taurus Sun to ground us & we don’t go off into flights of fantasy about what’s really happening around us.Be sure to tune in for all this & more starting Friday, April 25 @ https://www.karmicevolution.com/astrologically-speaking Especially as we head toward next week’s Pluto’s station retrograde & Uranus's conjunction to "off with his head!" fixed star Algol May 4/5, as these astro events are sure to be impactful since all planets are in direct motion until then—See you then! • THIRD-QUARTER “CRISIS IN CONSCIOUSNESS” WANING LUNAR SQUARE APRIL 19: THE PRESSURE BUILDS AS THE U.S. FACES A CONSTITUTIONAL CRISIS!
    Apr 18 2025
TUNE IN TO https://www.karmicevolution.com/astrologically-speaking PODCAST AS SHERI HORN HASAN discusses the Sun’s entrance into Taurus April 19, the Taurus Sun’s fixed square to Mars in Leo, & the Aquarius Moon’s opposition to Mars & conjunction with Pluto—all at the third-quarter waning lunar square on April 20.

And not only that! The Taurus Sun will go on to perfect its exact square to Pluto in Aquarius April 23, as we gear up for the exact Mars/Pluto opposition from Leo to Aquarius April 26.

This podcast discusses how this coming week promises to be an intense one, especially since it will be followed by the Taurus New Moon on April 27 when both luminaries are still in orb of squares to both Mars & Pluto as Mars & Pluto still oppose each other.
Can you say “under pressure?” Such pressure is clearly being felt, especially in the U.S. right now, as we've arrived at a constitutional crisis point. Spurred by President Trump’s refusal to abide by a unanimous Supreme Court decision, followed by a failed appeal of that decision, we wait to see whether the Sun’s move into dependable, practical, predictable Taurus means he will capitulate to the court’s authority—or not.

This is all part of the potential breakdown in order to break through of the U.S. Pluto return, which was first triggered on February 22, 2022, when transiting Pluto returned to its natal position in the 2nd House in Capricorn.

This podcast look at how history has shown that the energies of this return will mimic those from the time of the U.S. Revolutionary War & the signing of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776, until the U.S. seated its first president & Supreme Court justices in 1789. And how a larger & larger portion of the American citizenry is beginning to wake up to this reality.
So, between 2022 & 2035, we’re looking at the potential recurrence of these energies as we wait to see if we have a U.S. president hellbent on becoming a dictator. Pluto says “change or be changed,” and he doesn’t care if you want change or not—he’s the archetypal energy of the process of evolution. And evolution requires adaptation if we don’t want extinction to follow.
So the message is: Evolve we must.

However, if we want to have some measure of control over what course this evolutionary process will take, we’ll have to fight to preserve our democracy’s original intent while acknowledging that we must jettison the portions of it that have become rotten. If not, our current democratic system will become extinct. And then it will be reborn in some other fashion.

So, we gear up now for a chaotic, potentially violent week as we head toward the third-quarter crisis in consciousness fixed square of the Aquarius Moon (the people) to the Taurus Sun (an intractable stubborn leader) as they both square Mars in Leo. The Aquarius Moon conjoins Pluto in Aquarius at this lunation, while the Sun perfects its square to the god of the underworld on April 23.
Will President Trump’s defiance of the high court’s authority spark some sort of violent action by the time Mars exact opposes Pluto on April 26? And will new revolutionary seeds be planted at the April 27 Taurus New Moon?

We wait to find out…however, first we look at how the energies of the U.S. Pluto return have begun to reveal the rot in our current governmental system. And how a capitalist nation has morphed us from our original constitutional intent “of the people, by the people, & for the people” into one run by and for oligarchs such as unelected billionaire Elon Musk.
We look at Trump’s chart, specifically at where he came into this lifetime as a wounded soul in the area of justice, fairness, & equality as these principles relation to his concept of partnership. We analyze his naturally Venus-ruled 2nd House Jupiter/Chiron/Juno stellium in Libra & put this together with his current demonstrations of how such wounds have manifested in the Jupiterian realm of law, higher education, immigration, & religion.
More importantly, though, this is a perfect illustration of how expectations of fairness on the part of Trump’ partners has once again been proven wrong, given his 2nd House Juno/Chiron/Jupiter conjunction in Libra wounds to partnership, equity, & fairness. Particularly in the area of law, but no means limited to the legal system’s structural concept of “justice.”

  • LIBRA FULL MOON OPPOSITE ARIES SUN/CHIRON & SQUARE MARS: YOU’VE WOUNDED US & WE’RE NOT GONNA TAKE IT ANYMORE!
    Apr 11 2025
https://www.karmicevolution.com/astrologically-speaking tune into this week’s Astro News You Can Use podcast with Sheri Horn Hasan discussing this past week’s astro-influenced events & what’s yet to come, including the results of Mercury & Venus’s stations direct!Astrologer Sheri Horn Hasan first looks back at how the April 4 first-quarter “crisis in action” waxing monthly lunar cardinal square of the Cancer Moon to the Aries Sun spurred people into action under the mantra of “Hands Off!” If you’re a regular podcast listener, you’ll have heard on this podcast before the statement that when enough people are affected personally, that’s when they will take to the streets in large numbers. Well, that’s what an estimated 5.2 million of them did—old, young, and in between—to tell the current U.S. Government “hands off” my medical care & research, my social security, my educational opportunities, my job, my civil rights, right to bodily autonomy, and so much more. Meanwhile Mercury’s station direct in Pisces on April 7 seems to have proven what Erin Sullivan says in her book “Retrograde Planets, Traversing the Inner Landscape,” which is that it marks a time to “engage in observation and begin to pay attention.” Well, hard not to pay attention to U.S. President Trump’s on-again off-again tariff threats against ALL U.S. trading partners—that resulted in putting the U.S. stock market--& by association global markets—into free fall this past week.Trump is a Gemini Sun/Uranus, which in its lowest manifestation is far more than “mercurial”--& as has been proven throughout his time in the presidency--to be erratic & mayhem-oriented. So, the whipsaw like back and forth on tariffs during both Mercury & Venus retrograde periods should really be no surprise. (This podcast highlights how the recent Mercury retrograde period triggered an important T-square in Trump’s chart, so give it a listen!)What’s changing now, however, is how undeniably obvious this has become as well as how potentially disruptive to both the U.S. & global trade & economy. With Mercury now direct, however, we’ve seen yet again additional changes in plans from the U.S. Government vis-à-vis tariffs. What’s becoming more and more obvious, however, to even the average news absorber, is that Trump’s assumption that his tariffs will succeed when they’ve been historically proven to weaken America’s dollar, lead to losses for American companies, & create turmoil in the financial markets, is their complete unworkability. We approach now the April 12 Libra Full Moon, which occurs at 23’20’ Libra in opposition to the Aries Sun conjunct wounded healer Chiron, while they all form a cardinal T-square to Mars in Cancer. Less than an hour later Venus stations direct in Pisces, telling us it’s time to check in on the status of our partnerships. Can you spell "F-R-U-S-T-R-A-T-I-O-N?" As both Venus & Mercury begin to gather speed in their forward trajectory, we can see more clearly the results of how these astrological energies are currently playing out, at least here in America. This lunation highlights that we have here a “wounded king/ruler/autocrat wanna-be” facing opposition from the “people,” who desire to be more partnership-oriented with the rest of the world rather than less.In essence, this lunation—which has the Libra Moon reflecting back to the wounded Sun its own light—asks us to release any tendencies toward an “it’s my way or the highway” type leadership that leads only to opposition, and to begin to negotiate & compromise. This becomes difficult, however, since what’s wounded the Aries Sun is its lack of ability to back down in the face of having proactively made disastrous decisions. We look forward now to Mercury reentering Aries on April 16 or 17, depending on your time zone, and Mars reentering Leo April 17/18. Will Trump double down on his losing proposition to impose 145% tariffs on Chinese imports as China ups the ante by raising its tariff rates on U.S. goods to 125 percent on April 12? Especially when economists already know that this kind of trade war will result in higher prices for American consumers. “China’s factories produce more than those in the United States, Germany, Japan, South Korea and Britain combined, and many of the products imported to the United States come from China,” according to the New York Times. And that’s not mentioning how the U.S. House of Representatives managed to pass a continuing budget resolution on April 10, as we waxed toward the Libra Full Moon, that will keep Trump’s 2017 tax cuts for billionaires & cut trillions from government services. This passed 216 to 214, with zero democrats voting for it & two republicans jumping ship to side with the democrats. This podcast discusses the arduous task ahead for Congress to rectify the House & Senate versions of this bill, along with how it will result in growing ...
