Acerca de esta escucha

This podcast is based on a book I am writing called ”Baloney Sandwiches” and is about everyday people and my experiences growing up in the MidWest as a biracial child in a predominately African American community in the 70’s. I am the product of a 17 year old mother who had the IQ of a genius. She was reading at the age of four and playing the piano by ear. She loved abusive, criminal and drug addicted men and had a soft spot for dogs and activism. My real father robbed banks, and I met him in a correctional faciity on my fifth birthday. I still remember our first meeting with me walking through the steel cage doors of the Ohio Penitentiary and hearing the locks and keys clank while they opened and closed each door leading into the meeting room where I met my father. I remember him calling me his Super Star and them bringing out a Snoopy cake and singing Happy Birthday. I created this podcast to share my stories and I hope they will provide some value to others.
