Acerca de esta escucha
In this heartfelt episode of The Dadpreneur Podcast, we sit down with Debra Albo-Steiger, a dedicated advocate with over 20 years of experience in education, mental health, policy, and social services. As the CEO of the Children's Bereavement Center (CBC), Debra has made it her mission to ensure that no one grieves alone after the loss of a loved one.
Debra shares her inspiring journey, from expanding services for homeless children and youth through Miami-Dade County Public Schools’ Project UP-START to leading initiatives like the HOMY Collective and the Youth Homeless Working Group. Her work has brought systemic change to better serve vulnerable populations, including children and families experiencing trauma, homelessness, and loss.
Since taking the helm at CBC in 2021, Debra has expanded programs to support grieving children, youth, and adults not just in South Florida, but nationally. She discusses how CBC's Lift From Loss programming is making a profound impact and highlights the intersection of childhood grief and homelessness, a topic she has presented at state and national conferences.
Tune in to hear Debra’s insights on addressing grief, trauma, and homelessness—and learn how her work is making a positive, lasting impact on countless lives.
