But the essence of being a Christian is not rooted in buildings or denominations—it’s found in a living, personal relationship with Jesus Christ. What makes me a Christian is not the church I identify with. It’s not the name on the building or the denomination I claim. What makes me a Christian is that Christ lives inside of me. Galatians 2:20 says, “I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me.”This is the foundation of our faith. Without Christ in us, our outward religion is empty. In this podcast episode, we reflect on the true identity of a believer and the importance of allowing Jesus to dwell in our hearts daily. Christianity is a relationship, not a religion.
