Near Powers Boulevard and Constitution Avenue, officers responded to multiple reports of vehicle thefts throughout the week. Several vehicles were reported stolen from residential parking areas. These incidents are under investigation, and no arrests have been made.
Officers were dispatched to a disturbance in the Southeast neighborhood, around the Chelton Road and Fountain Boulevard area, where an alleged assault was reported involving two adult males. One individual was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. An arrest was made at the scene and the case is pending further review.
A burglary was reported near Garden of the Gods Road and Centennial Boulevard, where unknown suspects allegedly forced entry into a business during overnight hours. Property was reported stolen and the investigation is ongoing.
In the Old Colorado City area, around Colorado Avenue and 24th Street, patrol officers responded to an alleged vandalism incident involving several vehicles with broken windows and graffiti. No suspects have been identified and the case remains under active investigation.
An incident of shoplifting was reported at a retail store along North Academy Boulevard. The alleged suspect fled prior to police arrival. Officers obtained surveillance footage and are seeking public assistance with identification.
A reported domestic disturbance occurred in the Briargate area near Austin Bluffs Parkway and Research Parkway. After initial investigation, one adult was arrested for alleged domestic violence-related offenses. The case is pending prosecution.
No significant trends or emerging patterns were noted in the incidents reported over the past week. The types of crime remain consistent with previous periods, with property-related incidents and assaults comprising the majority of reported activity.
