  • Gratitude Shift: From Surviving to Thriving
    Feb 17 2025

    Send us a text

    Welcome back to Confidently Unleashed!

It’s been a minute, but what better way to say I’m grateful to be back than with today’s topic? And yes, you guessed it—gratitude.

Now, before you roll your eyes, hear me out. I get it. When life feels like a dumpster fire, the last thing you want to hear is, “Just be grateful.”

    But stick with me.

Here’s the thing: gratitude isn’t about pretending everything is perfect. It’s about training your brain to find what’s still good, even when everything else feels like a mess. It’s a mindset shift.

And for anyone thinking, “This sounds like hippy nonsense,” guess what? Science backs it up. Neuroscientists have found that practicing gratitude actually rewires your brain. It activates areas linked to reward and empathy, like the prefrontal cortex. This part of the brain helps us process emotions and build better connections. Gratitude also triggers the release of dopamine—your feel-good hormone. Over time, regularly practicing gratitude strengthens these brain pathways, making you more resilient, happier, and even healthier.

That’s how you shift from surviving to thriving.

So, if your life feels like it’s falling apart right now, no worries. You don’t need to fix everything today. Just start small. Find one thing—just one little blessing—and your brain will catch on. Before you know it, you’ll start seeing opportunities instead of just problems.

Want more money? Better relationships? That dream life? It starts with gratitude. Here’s how you get there.

Step 1: The Three Good Things Challenge

Grab a notebook, your phone, or even a napkin. Write down three things you’re grateful for—no matter how small.

Try it every day for a week. You’ll be amazed how quickly your brain starts scanning for the good stuff.

Step 2: Find Gratitude in Challenges

Okay, I know this one sounds like a stretch, but trust me. Every challenge you face holds an opportunity for growth.

Pick one thing you’re struggling with. Now, find three lessons it’s teaching you.

For example, balancing work and family is tough, but it taught me to set boundaries and prioritize my time. What about you? Maybe a setback at work is pushing you toward something better. Look for the lesson.

    Step 3: Real-Time Gratitude

Celebrate your small wins in the moment. Got a good parking spot? Nailed that meeting? Call it out. Say, “I win,” out loud. Seriously, own your victories.

For the next 24 hours, notice and name every win—no matter how tiny.

Step 4: Take a Gratitude Walk

Get outside. Take a 10-minute walk and just breathe. Let your mind wander, and notice the beauty around you. Movement shifts your energy, and when you shift your energy, you raise your vibration.

If you want to take it up a notch, try this exercise from The Magic by Rhonda Byrne: With every step, say “Thank you” silently. It sounds cheesy, but it works.

    Final Thoughts

Gratitude isn’t a quick fix, but it is a powerful tool. Every day, you get to choose: focus on what’s wrong or focus on what’s right. Choose what’s right.

For the next seven days, commit to this practice:

    1. Every morning, write down three specific things you’re grateful for.
    2. Every night, reflect on one lesson from a challenge.
    3. At least once this week, take a gratitude walk.

When you start noticing the shift, let me know. I want to hear your wins, your mindset breakthroughs, and those moments where you think, “Holy crap, this actually works!” Hit me up on social!

  • Flip the Script: Mastering the Art of Overcoming Negativity
    May 3 2024

    Send us a text

Welcome back to another episode of "Confidently Unleashed"! Today's topic? Overcoming negativity - because let's face it, we all need a little help with that sometimes. So grab your drink of choice, get comfy, and let's dive in!
......AND I am going to rant , but I promise I am not a terrible person or at least I hope not !!
So, what's this "pivoting" thing everyone's talking about? It's basically the art of flipping your perspective when faced with negativity or challenges. But let's address a common misconception first: giving people the benefit of the doubt. Sure, it sounds noble, but hey, shouldn't they be giving us the same courtesy? I mean, we're all just trying to navigate through life's messiness.

Negativity is like a virus - once it sneaks in, it spreads fast. But we're not about to let it take over our minds, are we? Nope! We're going to pivot the hell out of those negative thoughts and steer our mindset back to where it needs to be.

But how do we do that? First off, remain calm. Seriously, responding with aggression only fuels the fire. It's like a game of dodgeball - sometimes you just gotta dodge and let that negativity fly past you. And if you can, just walk away. Ain't nobody got time for toxic conversations.

Now, onto the nitty-gritty of mastering the art of pivoting. Step one? Be aware of those sneaky negative thoughts creeping in. Then, instead of reacting impulsively, take a moment to step back and breathe. Ask yourself: why am I feeling this way? And then, pivot! Shift your focus from what's going wrong to what's going right. Find that silver lining and hold onto it for dear life.

But hey, we're not just talking about dealing with external negativity. Nope, we've got our own inner demons to wrestle with too. So when that little voice in your head starts whispering self-doubt, shut it down with some self-love and affirmation.

And because we're all about practical tips here, I've got a little exercise for you. It's called "Pivot it, just a Little Bit" routine. Basically, when negativity rears its ugly head, freeze it in its tracks and find three positive alternatives. Then, write them down and bask in the glow of your newfound positivity.

But let's be real - staying positive 24/7 is damn difficult. Life throws curveballs, and sometimes you just wanna throw them right back. But amidst the chaos, remember: you hold the power to reshape your thoughts and find reasons to be thankful.

Just focus on your own mindset and keep moving forward.

In the end, pivoting is an art form. It takes practice, perseverance, and a touch of stubbornness. But trust me, it's worth it. So embrace the power of the pivot and let it become your secret weapon in the pursuit of a brighter, more fulfilling existence.
