Acerca de esta escucha
As dialogue practitioners, we witness the positive impact that dialogue can have on individuals, communities, and organizations. We believe deeply in its potential to foster a more connected humanity and a more peaceful world. Yet a key question remains: how do we expand the reach of dialogue? How can we help create lasting impact on a broader – even global – scale?
The answer lies in our schools!
But how can we make this happen? How can we integrate dialogic practices into education through teachers, so that children can engage with and benefit from dialogue from an early age? In this episode, Jane Ball – Director of Dialogue Associates and Trustee of the Academy of Professional Dialogue – shares her insights on exactly that. She introduces Dialogic Classroom, an ambitious new program launched in 2024 by a global team of teachers and dialogue practitioners.
Our aim in this conversation is to give you a clear understanding of how the project came to life, its phases and aspirations, and – most importantly – to invite teachers and dialogue practitioners around the world to get involved. We hope you’ll find inspiration and practical ways to bring dialogue to your own students.
At Flux (in Norway), we’ve long championed the role of dialogue in fostering understanding – both within Norwegian society and beyond. That’s why this initiative, which brings dialogue into the heart of education, is especially meaningful to us. And we hope it will be for our listeners, too.
