• "War Eagle!" is a greeting-slash-cheer used by Auburn University in Alabama, despite the fact that their mascot is officially the Tigers.
• Hüsker Dü is the name of both a board game and a hardcore punk band.
• The Mediterranean civilizations of the late Bronze Age experienced a collective, catastrophic collapse, seemingly due to a variety of factors.
• The idea of an OODA Loop was military in origin, but is applied in response strategies that many teachers in United States schools are trained in, in the event of an active shooter on campus. (In the session, Robin has Nic refer to the student handbook for response strategies that are, in the GM's experience, more rational and effective than much of what teachers in the real world are trained in.)

Using a combined system of REIGN and Nobilis, and set in our very own brand-new mythic fantasy setting of Mieleth, Nightfall focuses on a couple of unfortunates in the region of Taraxis who find themselves suddenly elevated to demigod status.
