Acerca de esta escucha

Once upon a time you could walk from France to England over the land mass known as Doggerland.

Now refugees risk their lives smuggled in by lorry and small boats. Carly works in an isolated petrol station on the outskirts of a small town near the Kent coast where she grew up. Dreaming of her own escape, she is haunted by uneasy dreams of other times and a terrible crime.

One day she meets a mysterious Turkish woman also looking to leave and, entranced by her, their journey begins.

A mix of magical realism and a portrait of contemporary Britain, this is directed by Guy Jones.

world building, gripping story

I became annoyed first with the audio and the inconsistent nature. Not sure who programmed the sounds but they're absolutely overwhelming and the audio pitches all over the place. I was constantly changing my volume and then it would blast a sound and hurt my ears, I'd go the other way and then I couldn't hear the talking. I became bored, second. I would have stuck out the audio for a good plot line but it went from a genuine mystery to suddenly the inner monologs and quickly declined. I made it about half way and gave up.

I only made it halfway
