Well done-just a bit disorganized and all over the place until the last two episodes going back and forth in places in Michael’s life.

Very Well done

I was there, the timeline of this narrative is my lifetime! I recognized and reminisced about every chapter of MJ’s life. An incredible and sad story.

Riveting

Spent the entire weekend listening to every episode and I was hooked from beginning to end. It was very interesting to compare my memories of events with their reporting. I highly recommend it.

Fascinating listen

Let’s just start with classic grooming of parents and children and family and talk about how if he were just a random neighborhood child molester he would’ve been in jail way before he was ever initially accused back in 1993. I am a dancer and choreographer in Los Angeles, and I grew up on Michael Jackson, and I was obsessed with his music, but as a feminist and an advocate for children And women I no longer play his music in my studio and do not choreograph to any of his music. I feel like the intention was honorable from the producers of the show but at this point after the HBO Neverland documentary that came out a few years ago and me personally knowing Wade Robson, it is unconscionable that we don’t stand up for what is right. I feel like there needs to be a darker Broadway show about the other side of the story and I would invite Wade to choreograph it and tell the story of all the lost boys I don’t care who you are in this world. You don’t get to abuse people and get away with it because you’re particular unique savant talent. Inherent in the entertainment industry where you are a commodity you are given a bubble to live in. We need to believe his maid we need to believe the families and most of all we need to believe the victims. As much as I enjoyed this podcast, I feel like both of the journalists did not take a hard line at the end and I think they should have. I feel like they dropped the ball. Mr. Jackson was a child molester...Full stop. It is so disgusting that that narrative is being pushed aside so that his trust fund is being fed with millions upon millions of dollars on the backs of those that have been traumatized by him, and his dastardly deeds

PS peter pan was an asshole
🫢😉🤦🏻‍♀️

I think the evidence is all there

Bravo. What a brilliant podcast covering decades of history in the music business, race, society, the phenomenal talent of MJ and, yes, his creepiness too. You covered brilliantly the deeply mixed feelings that come with loving an artist’s art but being repulsed by his actions.

Incredibly thought provoking & moving

Some of this is very hard to listen to. I am still very much undecided as to Michael’s guilt. So easy for others to take advantage of a wealthy person. The only person I felt was a bit credible was the maid. Some of how Michael was treated as a child seems to explain why he seemed to hate his appearance.

Informative and unbiased

Deep dive analysis of Michael Jackson, good and bad. Binged this in two days. This documentary podcast will leave you sad, convicted, conflicted & informed.

In depth

I remember as a kid growing up during Michael Jackson’s most potent era - the time spanning the Off The Wall and Thriller albums, that he was literally considered a deity in my community. He was something short of Jesus Christ, but on par with (or even surpassing, depending on who you asked) the esteem that Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.. had in the black community.

I felt that way about him, too.

He was a foundational part of my life, so the child sexual abuse allegations against him are the most brutal and heartbreaking betrayal that I can think of in my lifetime. I still struggle with it. On rare occasion I find myself going on a Michael Jackson binge and listening to his music. Mostly, I feel the itch to listen to him, but can’t bring myself to do it. My last Michael binge was probably 2 years ago. I can’t suppress the sick feeling when I hear his voice most times.

This was a fantastic production. The best of this genre of storytelling that I have heard to date. It brought me great nostalgic joy, incredible new insights and profound grief. I grieve his victims and - incredibly - I also grieve his passing.

It is unbelievable to me that I have any positive feeling toward him at all. Such is the power of his art that many of us find ourselves with mixed feelings.

This production delves unflinchingly into Michael Jackson’s public and private lives. Many thanks to all who were involved in bringing this to fruition. It has singularly made every monthly subscription that I ever paid to Audible worth it. It deserves and will receive repeated listens from me.

Wow, this was really great
