Acerca de esta escucha
In this episode I discuss the the practice of Self-Compassion, the practice of mindfully treating ourselves with consideration, kindness and comfort particularly in times of struggle and remembering we are connected to others within humanity.
I discuss the Self-Compassion Scale, developed by Dr. Kristin Neff, Ph.D. and the three components of this model. I provide examples of how each component may sound or feel emotionally, how this practice gives us power and why we must be patient with ourselves giving ample time as we learn to provide ourselves with Self-compassion.
I share how I learned of the practice of Self-compassion and how I have embodied and use this healing practice in my own life.
I give suggestions of ways to remind ourselves to practice and to embody self compassion such as

Self-compassion can be beneficial for a variety of human experiences and emotions, taking many forms including self-soothing or supportive touch, assisting us in discovering what we need in order to be happy, fierce self-compassion, working with your anger, and for motivation to change and to address undesired habits.
