Acerca de esta escucha

In the wake of the sedition trial's collapse, Justice Department prosecutor John Rogge travels overseas and uncovers a bombshell. He finds evidence of a coordinated effort to subvert American democracy… as well as the names of high-profile Americans involved. Rogge then returns to America... and goes rogue. Risking his career as a prosecutor, he makes public what he's discovered about the fascist threat and the Americans who supported it. And he offers a prescient warning about an American criminal justice system that is ill-equipped to defend democracy from those who seek to destroy it.

This series is well written and researched. Connects the dots between 1940’s politics and today. It is important to remember and reflect on our political history so we can better understand how to respond in today’s climate. Rachel and her cast/crew have done an excellent service for providing the educational environment and content.

The recounting of this historic event was spellbinding. It gives me some hope that we may be able to prevail in this current crisis but when are we going to develop legislation that will help to protect our democracy? This should be made into a TV miniseries that can air prior to the 2024 election. We need to give democracy the same chance to enlighten the masses as the fascists give their cause.

I loved the factual timeline of events read in Rachael's expressive voice, accompanied by musical accent notes. It enhanced the story with the feel a mystery being explored and solved, We'll done Rachel!

Thank you for this excellent historical reporting. How come I had never heard of any of this in my previous 75 yrs? We need to know history lest we repeat it and maybe it doesn’t end as well next time.

I never knew that!

Who says history is boring? Rachel's research on this topic is excellent and her narration of it is flawless. The voices of the historians adds to the gravity of the storytelling. The facts recounted in the story are both chilling and shocking. The only minor criticism I have is that some of the background music seems frivolous and distracting. This comment does not include the ending song by Woody Guthrie. That music was a fitting conclusion to this gripping account!

i couldn't get enough!
