  • Standing Firm in a Changing World - Part 2 - EP. 248
    Jun 29 2025

In this second part of our lesson from Jeremiah 6:16, I dig deep into what it means to walk the "ancient paths" and why that matters now more than ever. We explore the value of preserving the original pattern of New Testament Christianity, not out of nostalgia, but because we believe God's design is timeless and perfect. I talk about the importance of distinctiveness in a world full of spiritual alternatives, the quiet danger of drifting from the truth, and why our congregation aims to be a rare, unwavering light in our community. Through stories, personal reflection, and scripture, I share our mission to pass down an unaltered faith, like a family heirloom too precious to modify. This episode is about more than church tradition, it's a passionate call to stay grounded, to teach the next generation with intentionality, and to remain a Bible-first people. If you've ever wondered why we do what we do, or if you're feeling the tug of modern shifts in faith, this is a message for you. We’re not trying to reinvent Christianity, we’re trying to live it as it was given.

  • Standing Firm in a Changing World - Part 1 - EP. 247
    Jun 29 2025

In this episode, I invite you to reflect on a deeply personal and countercultural conviction: the power and beauty of preserving the original message of Christ. Drawing from Jeremiah 6:16, we talk about what it means to seek the "ancient paths" in a world that glorifies innovation, modernization, and spiritual flexibility. We explore why our community deliberately resists the trend of constant change in favor of spiritual conservatorship protecting and honoring the blueprint God delivered once for all.

I liken our approach to that of a museum curator entrusted with a masterpiece, something priceless, sacred, and not to be altered. Whether it's the Mona Lisa or your grandmother’s wedding ring, we wouldn’t dream of “updating” a treasure. So why do it with God’s word?

From biblical examples like Uzzah and Nadab to contemporary trends in soft preaching and entertainment-focused worship, I break down how deviation; however well-intentioned, can move us further from God, not closer. This isn’t about being different for its own sake; it’s about being faithful. Join me as we recommit to the straight and narrow path, not blending in, but boldly standing out, rooted in scripture, transformed by truth, and devoted to honoring the original design.

  • Lessons from a Dying King, by Gavin Williams EP. 246
    Jun 22 2025

In this episode, we take a heartfelt look at the power of last words, specifically those of King David, recorded in 2 Samuel 23. There’s something about a person’s final words that strips away pretense and brings clarity to what truly mattered in their life. As we walk through David’s poetic farewell, we reflect on how he defines a good life, not by power, wealth, or victory, but by his unwavering relationship with God. David, a man after God’s own heart, leaves behind more than a legacy, he leaves a blueprint for a meaningful life rooted in righteousness, leadership, and eternal hope.

We explore how godly leadership impacts everyone around us, why integrity matters more than accolades, and how we can recalibrate our definitions of success. Whether you're a parent, a church leader, or someone just trying to live faithfully, David’s final words challenge us to think deeply about what we’re building, our image in this world, or our identity in God. And when it’s our time to look back, what will we have to show? Join me for this sobering, yet hopeful lesson about priorities, purpose, and what really lasts beyond this life.
