Then we settle down and begin to discuss this week's subject, Victoria California Woodhull. This woman, born to a devout spiritualist and a con man that got them ran out of their Homer Ohio home. She's married to a 'doctor' at 15 and works travelling medicine shows and spiritualist spectacles which eventually leads her to meet Cornelius Vanderbilt. She becomes a powerful figure, who believes in women's suffrage, the Free Love Movement (which in the 1860's is very different from the similarly named movement of the 1960's). She starts a newspaper and so much more in this about to be a movie starring Brie Larson episode of the Family Plot Podcast!

I love how I finally found a podcast close to where I live AND it’s a FAMILY AND it’s about scary/spooky/mysterious stuff! I love it. I have not finished fishing through all the episodes but you should, if you haven’t done yet, something on Parkville, MO. I may or may not live there or in close proximity and have my own stories!!!
