  • Using Webinars to Grow Your Church
    Dec 27 2022

How would you like to increase the number of visitors to your church without ever having to promote your Sunday service? Imagine never switching out your roadside banner with your new sermon series again while attracting more new visitors to your church.

That's the power of webinars. God has uniquely gifted your church to shepherd and care for your community, and you don't have to wait until people walk through your front door to do so.

The people in your community have needs, and most churches excel at helping the people who walk through their front doors. But what if you flipped that on its head, and your church began to engage people where they are at before they ever step foot on your campus? Many in your community will never walk through your front door on a Sunday based on your roadside banner. But, if you take programs you are already doing and convert them to an online format that anyone can attend from the comfort of their home, now you have an opportunity to build a relationship with them.

In this episode of the FrontDoor Church podcast, we will unpack everything your church needs to know about using webinars to reach your community and grow your church.

  • Your Church Giving Is Going to Decrease
    Dec 16 2022

Looking at world trends, we can get a peak into future trends here in the US. With that, we can see that church giving is going to decrease. Fewer people will tithe regularly, and more will begin to give based on how the individual Sunday message moved or inspired them that week.

In this episode of the FrontDoor Church Podcast, we will discuss simple things your church can begin doing now to shepherd your congregation's generosity. Messaging and communication (yes, those are two separate things) will be critical in discipling your church on the spiritual discipline of giving and inspiring them to give generously.

  • 7 Ways to Repurpose Sermons
    Nov 22 2022

Pastors preach on Sunday mornings – week in and week out, year after year. They have hundreds of sermons and all the sermon notes. Those sermons shouldn’t just disappear, never to be seen again. You should be able to use them for something. We call it micro-repurposable content.

The knowledge and wisdom in each sermon should continue to be used. Sermons can be used every day of the week, not just on Sundays. Because every sermon's end goal should be to continue reaching people for Jesus because the content is timeless.

In this episode of the FrontDoor Church Podcast, we talk about how those Sunday morning sermons can be repurposed and used on your church’s digital platforms. For example, take the sermon and make it a blog post. Go a step further and break it down into 3-4 main points. Now you have 4 blog posts. That’s just one of the ways you can continue to use sermons. We talk more about it and six others in the 5th episode, 7 Ways to Repurpose Sermons.

  • The Right Words for More Signups (Copywriting)
    Nov 15 2022

Words matter. If you want people to do anything you’re asking them to do, the words you choose to write an email, describe a sermon series, or put an event on a website are crucial. Good subject lines and website copy encourage people to read your email and stay on your website page longer to learn about your church.

As church leaders and communicators, it’s important to be great copywriters because we have the greatest story to tell in the history of mankind. Yet, hearing that you should become a good copywriter is intimidating. It’s worth your time and energy to improve so you can share the good news with those who need it.

In this episode of Front Door Church, we talk about why copywriting matters, how to create an avatar to help focus on your potential readers, and some practical ways to become a better copywriter. Your copy will make people move, compel them to act, and convince them to make changes in their lives.

  • Growing Discipleship Through Emails
    Nov 9 2022

In our last episode, we talked about where ministry begins. The front door of your church should extend far beyond the physical door – ministry begins before someone walks into your building. You’re missing out if you don’t have a way to connect with people through technology. All the roads we talk about this season lead to gathering people together to worship Jesus.

In this episode, we talk about how valuable emails are for your church, setting up groups or segments, and using email automation to take people on a journey and tell them a story.

Email is a great way to connect, disciple, and follow up with people in a meaningful way; it’s more effective than social media platforms. We discuss the best ways you can use your email list more than you are now. Encourage your church members to sign up for the church email list. Be intentional about organizing them when they sign up. Get an email address for all the adults in the home, and tag them by age and interests like parenting, quilting, or helping with special projects.

Take this conversation one step further today, go to frontdoor.church and sign up for a free trial. We’ve taken the process of automating emails and made it very simple. You’ll see what a potential sequence of emails can be.

  • More Visitors with Facebook Ads
    Nov 1 2022

Ministry leaders have had terrible Facebook Ads experiences. The potential of Facebook Ads is so enticing that leaders are eager to put money into boosting posts, and yet, after $200, $300, or $400 you don’t see any results that lead you to believe your ads are working.

Facebook Ads are the easiest, most accessible marketing tool available to churches allowing you to bypass the need to wait for attention and go right to paying for attention. If you know who you want to target, what they need to hear, and how to execute inside of the Ads manager, you’ll find Facebook Ads producing amazing results.

In this episode of the Front Door Church Podcast we talk about common issues pastors have with Facebook Ads, how to create better ads that are ‘them-centric’, and how to turn those ads into more visitors walking through your front door and engaging with your programs.

This is the Front Door Church Podcast, episode two, More Visitors with Facebook Ads.

  • Your Church Website Is Broken
    Oct 24 2022

Your church website is broken. It is not working; it’s not helping you bring more people in and it is not helping you introduce more people to Jesus. Unless someone is ready to visit your church or “Plan Your Visit” they’re not ready to connect with you.

Churches today spend more time planning, preparing, and designing their Sunday morning services for their current members than they do on outreach to potential new members. However, the first point of contact is no longer on Sunday morning when visitors step into the church building, it’s when they open your website, your new front door.

In this episode of Front Door Church, we’re going to talk about how you can make small tweaks to your website that will make a big difference in how you connect with people online.

Your messaging is important. If you want to grow your small groups, increase baptisms, increase your budget, and welcome visitors through your front door, it’s going to take the right strategy and website messaging. It should tell people they don’t have to come to your church to get all the great things you have to offer. That’s everything we talk about in this first episode of Front Door Church Podcast.
