  • 66 - Ways to model TRUTH in your Catholic, Christian Homeschool.
    Apr 27 2025

Send us a text! We’d love to hear from you!

This episode is inspired by a conversation with a recreational marijuana petitionist outside the post office on a beautiful spring afternoon. It's important to have dialogue with those with different viewpoints. In a christian, Catholic homeschool we are well-equipping our children to learn their faith and engage in thoughtful, charitable conversations. The episode includes my favorite thing, a little anecdotal history in a discussion on Socratic questioning as a method to reveal truths, highlighted by a story about the philosopher Socrates. In this episode, you'll be encouraged to teach your children to have meaningful dialogues on touchy subjects and to trust that God reveals himself to those who seek him.

  • 64 - You are enough! Stop self-doubt with these 3 tips.
    Apr 13 2025

Send us a text! We’d love to hear from you!

Everyone who has ever pondered homeschooling has doubted themselves at some point. Am I going to ruin my child? How can I teach them? I don't have a teaching degree. I don't want them to have a bunch of gaps in their education. These are all along the same thread of the lie that the enemy whispers to us. Of course, he doesn't want us to teach our children about the Lord or protect them from a toxic Godless culture through schools that hope to indoctrinate and sexualize them.

You are more than enough. In today's episode, You'll walk away with three points of encouragement to silence the doubts of your homeschooling heart.

    Episode notes:

More explanation on the Carroll family as mentioned in this episode. I believe I only mentioned John Carroll, so here is clarification:

Charles Carroll of Carollton became the only Catholic to sign the declaration of independence in which many of his thougths and ideas were reflected.

Daniel Carroll served in the Continental Congress and signed the Articles of Confederation.

John Carroll was the first Bishop and Arch Bishop in the United States

And for those who care, here's George Washington's letter to soldiers to cease Guy Fawkes Day:

“As the commander and chief has been apprised of a design formed for the observance of that ridiculous and childish custom of burning the effigy of the pope – he cannot help expressing his surprise that there should be officers and soldiers in this army so void of common sense as not to see the impropriety of such a step at this juncture; at a time when we are soliciting, and have really obtained the friendship and alliance of the people of Canada, whom we ought to consider as brethren embarked in the same cause. The defense of the general liberty of America: at such a juncture, and in such circumstances to be insulting, their [Catholic] religion is so monstrous as not to be suffered or excused; indeed, instead of offering the most remote insult it is our duty to address public thanks to these our brethren, as to them, we are so much indebted for every late happy success over the common enemy in Canada.”
